Is your DeepClean Essential not spraying water or formula?
- There are two places to check: at the base of the machine and the attachment
- First, if there is no spray at the floor, make sure there is water and BISSELL formula in the tank
- If your tank is empty, refill and it should begin spraying
- After that, check to see if your lid and the tank base are attached properly
- Gently lift the tank up by the handle, if you are able to lift the entire tank by the handle, it is attached correctly. If the top separates from the bottom, the tank is not latched properly
- Your machine also may not spray if the tank is not securely placed on the machine
- Push down to ensure it is fixed firmly onto the base.
- It is possible that there is air in the spray line. To fix this, simply turn off the machine, wait one minute then turn the machine back on and squeeze the trigger, it should start to spray
- Next, check to see if there is a broken belt
- Remove the screw and open access door, if the belt is broken, order a new genuine BISSELL belt on BISSELL.com

Is your DeepClean Essential spraying at the floor but not through the attachment? Here are a few things to check.
- It is possible that there is air in the spray line. To fix this, simply turn off the machine, wait one minute then turn the machine back on and squeeze the trigger to help prime the machine, it should start to spray
- If not, remove the tool from the end of the hose. Squeeze the trigger to see if you get spray without the tool. If you can get spray, inspect your tool for clogs. There may be build up at the spray tip. Use a paper clip to run through the spray tip so that any debris is pushed out. Rinse before replacing on the machine.
- The internal hose may be kinked, which will block the spray. Try stretching out the hose and giving it a few light tugs to release any kinks. Afterwards, test to see if the machine sprays.
