The three filters in your CleanView vacuum should be cleaned regularly for top performance.
First, remove the dirt tank and empty it. With the dirt tank open, reach up and twist the inner cyclone clockwise to remove it. It can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
Then push the filter button on the handle to check the pre-motor filter. Remove that filter and hand wash with warm water and a mild detergent.
All parts should air dry completely before being replaced.
There is also a post-motor filter in a tray below the dirt tank. Pull the tray out and remove the filter. Tap it gently on the side of a trash can to clean it.
The post-motor filter cannot be washed with water.
If any of the filters are damaged, or won't come clean, they should be replaced.
