To empty the dirt tank in your ICONpet™ Cordless Vacuum, first make sure your machine is turned off. 

• Slide the latch and pull the tank off.
• Grip the top side of the tank and pull up. This will activate a wiping feature to remove debris from the mesh filter screen inside the tank.
• Dump contents of the tank into the trash. 
• Tap the filter screen against the side of the trash.
• Put the separator back into the tank.
• To clean the pre-motor filter, turn OFF the machine and remove the dirt tank. See our “Emptying the Dirt Tank” video for steps.
• Pull the filter out.
• Remove the filter from the filter frame.
• Remove debris.
• This filter can be cleaned by rinsing under warm water, squeeze to remove excess water. 
• Let it dry for 24 hours before reassembling. 
• Make sure you put the filter back with the tag side touching the frame.
