Cleaning Filters | How to Videos | Symphony™ Vacuum and Steam Mop

The key to maximum performance is having a clean filter. To clean the filter, remove the dirt tank just as if you were emptying it. Then, remove the filter cartridge from the dirt separator. Next, remove the pre-motor foam filter and brush off the debris. Then, take the post-motor filter and tap it firmly against the inside of a waste container. At this point, you can place the cleaned filter back into the dirt tank or replace it with a new filter available at Bissell.com. Once the filter is placed into the dirt tank, return the tank to the base of the Symphony, sliding the lever to your right to lock. Cleaning the filter after each use will help your Symphony operate at peak efficiency. Some Symphony models come with an optional water filter. It is essential to check the filter and replace it when it is no longer effective. To remove the water filter, use the grips on the side of the filter and pull the filter out of the Symphony. The grains inside the water filter change from green to blue to indicate when the filter is at the end of its useful life. To replace the water filter, push the filter firmly into the Symphony until it’s flush
