ProHeat 2X® Revolution® Pet Pro Carpet Cleaner | Changing Belts & Brushes

For instructions on how to change belts & brushes in your carpet cleaner, follow the steps below

 

Remove nozzle 

  • Unplug machine and remove both tanks
  • Remove the nozzle & brush roll cover - There's two different nozzle styles depending on model number
    • Model number starts with (1) or (2)
      • Pull up on nozzle
      • Use release buttons & pull up to remove brush roll cover

  • If model number starts with (3)

    • Press nozzle release buttons & pull up to remove nozzle

     

 

Access belt

  • Press recline pedal and lay machine on its back

  • Use a flathead screwdriver and press it into slot at back and then front of belt access door > Lift to remove belt access door

  • Turn machine on its side and use a Philips screwdriver to remove screw underneath wheel
  • Slide wheel down to remove

  • Lay machine down on its back
  • Use a Philips-head screwdriver to remove screw on brush roll end cap

Inspect gear belt

  • Gently remove gear belt > Check for damage

Remove & replace brush rolls

  • There are washers at end of brush rolls > Be careful these do not fall off or get lost
  • Remove brush rolls from metal posts 
  • Place new brush rolls on machine > Metal post should go completely through of brush roll
    • Brush roll bristles should be aligned in a “V” pattern as pictured above
  • Align brush rolls with belt at other end of foot
  • Hold end of one brush roll and twist > Other brush roll should rotate with it

  • Check to make sure washers are in place > Reassemble belt and end cap, > Secure with screws that were removed
  • If flat belt is broken > Remove and replace belt

Replace flat belt

  • Place machine on its side
  • Feed new flat belt through opening so that it wraps around red pulley

  • Keeping band wrapped around red pulley > Place machine on its back
  • Use your thumb to stretch flat belt back to wrap around metal axle

Reassemble machine

  • Reassemble wheel and belt access door

  • Snap belt access door back down into place
