1. The DeepClean Essential® has a feature that allows the brushes to turn only if it’s reclined. To recline, push the foot pedal. If the cleaner is in the locked, upright position, the brushes won’t turn.
2. Next, unplug your deep cleaner and check to see if anything is caught in the brush roll or if the belt or brush roll has been damaged. To access the brush belt, unscrew the labeled belt access door, located on the bottom of the base. The brush belt is the belt with teeth, attached to the brush roll. 3. Try turning the brushes by hand. If they turn, plug the cleaner back in, turn it on, and check the brushes. Sometimes the brushes start so quickly and spin so fast they don’t appear to be spinning!
4. If the above steps don’t work and the brushes still aren’t spinning, please take your deep cleaner to a technician.
