Changing Belt | How to Videos | ProHeat® 2X Cleaner

The BISSELL Proheat 2X and Proheat 2X Select are durable upright deep cleaners that rarely need maintenance. However, occasional replacement of one or both belts and the roller brushes may be necessary.
  • To begin the belt or brush replacement process, start by turning off the Machine and unplugging it from the outlet
  • Remove both the water tank and the formula tank and set them aside
  • Unscrew and remove the front nozzle and set it aside
  • Turn the machine on its side making certain the cord side is down
  • Remove the clear end cap by unscrewing the two black screws taking extra care to not drop the screws into the unit
  • Remove one silver screw and remove the pivot arm by gently lifting up on the arm
    • Now you can remove and replace the small brush belt
  • At this point, you also have access to the brushes which can be removed for cleaning or can be replaced with new brushes
  • First, remove the brush rolls by pulling off of the metal rods
  • Next, place cleaned or new brush rolls back onto the rods
  • Make sure one washer is on each end of the rollers prior to sliding them on to the rod and be sure to let the rod slide through the bushing to ensure proper fit
  • Reattach the long belt on the bottom to the bottom of the cogs of the small roller brushes
  • Place the small belt over the back roller and metal cog
  • Place the pivot arm in position and screw it in place using the silver screw
  • Next, reattach the clear end cap by tightening the two black screws
  • Finally, return the nozzle to the front of the unit by latching it from underneath and securing it with the screw
Now your BISSELL Proheat 2X and Proheat 2X Select is ready for use
