“My floors look streaky using my BISSELL PowerFresh Steam Mop. What can I do to prevent this from happening?”
Before using, always make sure to thoroughly sweep or vacuum your floors.
Also check to make sure your pad is clean. You can wash the pads with a mild detergent in your washing machine, but don’t add fabric softener or bleach.
If there is an odd-looking substance on the pad, the streaking is likely being caused by dirt or residual cleaning products.
If you have used floor polishes or wax on your floor, use of any steam product may decrease the glossiness and you could refer to the manufacturer of the wax or polish for removal.
If you don’t wax or polish your floors, you should check the care instructions from your flooring manufacturer.
