Featured Partner Monmouth County SPCA The Monmouth County SPCA was founded in 1945 to care for the community’s homeless, neglected and abused animals in Eatontown, NJ. The mission of the Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MCSPCA) is to protect and advocate for all animals. They are dedicated to enforcing animal cruelty laws; providing a safe haven for homeless, abused and abandoned pets while they await adoption; reducing pet over-population through spay/neutering; and cultivating the humane treatment of animals through education and service as a valuable community resource. On October 29, the largest Atlantic Hurricane on record made landfall near Atlantic City, NJ and continued to wreak havoc on the East Coast over the next 48 hours. The destruction left in the wake of Sandy left many pets lost and homeless and in the care of MCSPCA. To show their gratitude and help support their efforts, the BISSELL Pet Foundation provided emergency funding for much needed food to help with the influx of displaced pets and homeless animals in their care. Bentley, a handsome nine month old Black Lab who was surrendered when his family’s home was destroyed, was reunited with his owners after MCSPCA provided him with emergency foster care and worked hard to find the family new pet friendly housing.
