If you find that your vacuum is harder to push than normal, the following may help.

• You may be using the wrong floor type setting for the surface you are trying to clean.      
• Locate the floor type setting on the side of the vacuum
• Turn the knob to the left for high pile carpet and to the right for bare floors
• Certain carpet types like Super Soft or Soft Silk carpeting require vacuums with height adjustment to easily move and effectively clean that premium thick type of carpet.
