Brush Roll Maintenance | How to Videos | Deep Clean Premier®

Are the brushes on your DeepClean ProHeat 2X Premier not spinning?
  • If your machine is turned on and in the upright position your brushes will not turn, this is normal
  • Once you recline your handle, the brushes will begin to spin
  • If the brushes are not spinning when the handle is reclined, turn the power off, unplug the machine and remove the water tank
  • Remove the front nozzle by turning the two knobs counter-clockwise to the noon and 6 o’clock positions
  • Check to see if anything is caught in the brush roll 
    • If there is anything caught in the brushes, remove the debris and try turning the brushes by hand 
  • Check both of the belts to see if they are broken 
    • The shorter belt hooks over the motor-pulley and attaches to the gear on the end of the brush 
    • ​​​​​​​The longer belt is on the non-cord side, and connects the 2 brushes together
    • If either belt is broken or worn, replace it with a genuine BISSELL brush belt, available on BISSELL.com
  • Put the belts back on the machine and try rotating one brush by hand, both should turn
  • Replace the front nozzle and make sure it locked in position with ¼ turn clockwise
  • Plug the machine in, recline the handle to see if the brushes rotate
    • Sometimes the brushes spin so fast they don’t appear to be spinning
If the brushes still don’t spin, please take the machine to a BISSELL Authorized Service Center.
