Removing/Replacing Belt | How to Videos | Cleanview® Vacuum

Video Transcript:

If you notice a change in the sound or pick-up performance of your vacuum, check for damage to the brush or belt.
After unplugging your vacuum, fold down the handle and turn the vacuum bottom side up. Using a Philips head screwdriver, remove the seven screws and lift off the brush plate.

Next, grab the rotating floor brush at both ends, lift it straight out of the vacuum, and slip off the belt. Clear away strings, hair, and other debris from the brush and drive belt area. You may need to use scissors to cut away wrapped string or hair. If you see evidence of wear or tear, it’s time to replace your belt. Go to BISSELL.com to find replacement belts for your model.

To replace the drive belt, place one end of the belt over the motor pulley and stretch the other end over the rotating floor brush in the space between the bristles.
Place the ends of the floor brush into the slots, and rotate the brush a few times to center the belt. Reposition the brush plate and screw in the seven screws. With regular maintenance and genuine Bissell replacement parts, your Bissell CleanView vacuum will continue to provide superior cleaning performance.
