Why pets? It’s our love for pets that drives us to design products that help make pet messes, odors and pet homelessness disappear. BISSELL proudly supports BISSELL Pet Foundation® and its mission to help save pets in need.
The time surrounding Fourth of July can be stressful for pets. Fireworks start going off every night on the days leading up to and after the big holiday. If you put yourself in your pet’s paws, can you blame them for being scared?
Ask any pet parent about their COVID-19 experience and chances are one silver lining of the pandemic and its stay-at-home order is all of the quality time they were able to spend with their pets while working from home. Now the question is what happens when everyone goes back to the workplace and pets have to stay behind at home?
We know a lot of people associate BISSELL with vacuums and pets – but what they may not know is we don’t just make products to clean up after pets, we also make products to clean pets! Just as we are always adding the latest innovations to our cleaning products, we have recently done the same for our line of pet care products! We’ve introduced many new products to the line in the last year, so it’s a great time to show you what’s new and some of our favorites.
When COVID-19 hit the United States, it changed the way we all lived. And not just for humans – shelter pets across the country quickly started to feel the effects, too. We are so proud of our friends at BISSELL Pet Foundation® (BPF) and how quickly they adjusted some of their biggest lifesaving initiatives to comply with social distancing guidelines and stay at home orders.
Pets are good for kids in so many ways. They encourage physical activity through play and walks and they help kids learn empathy and practice their interactions with others. Here’s how to bring a pet into the family in a safe way for everyone.
So much has changed in the last few weeks, and we know things will continue to change every day, but one thing that will never falter is the joy pets bring to our lives. These are times unlike any other, and it didn’t take long into self-quarantine for us to realize that the pets we once rescued are now rescuing us.
We believe pets deserve to feel special all the time, and lucky for them, it’s about to get even more special for our furry friends! April 11 marks National Pet Day – which for us is any day that ends in “y”. And while National Pet Day is all about our four-legged family members, we wanted to take some time to recognize the hard work of you, the pet parents, and give you something that will make caring for your pet (and their messes) easy.
Our pets are our best friends, there’s no doubt about that. There’s nothing like having a pet by our side, especially during the challenging times we’re in. We know pets have a positive impact on humans in times of stress, and scientists have actually linked the release of oxytocin to human interactions with dogs.
If you ask any pet parent what a pet adds to life, the first few things they will likely say are joy and companionship, not messes. But as every pet parent knows, a furry companion is bound to have an accident every once and awhile. Luckily, with the right pet stain and odor removal tools on hand, cleaning up those messes is no big deal. Those unexpected pet messes and the inevitable odors are what inspire us every day in our labs. The results are effective stain and odor removal products for pet messes, no matter big or small.
BISSELL has a long-standing partnership with Puppy Bowl and is bringing the MVP award to the show this year.
In Grand Rapids, those of us at BISSELL and much of the community are getting very excited for our annual BISSELL Blocktail Party. It’s a fun event to gather with our friends and furry companions, drink some beers, enjoy delicious ‘yappitizers’ and bid on awesome auction items all to benefit BISSELL Pet Foundation and pets in need.
Our cats sometimes challenge the most insightful among us to figure out what’s behind a weird and wacky behavior. Felines always have a good reason for doing what they do. But a given behavior doesn’t always mean what you think, including why cats follow us to the bathroom.
