There’s no getting around the fact that times are tough. But something amazing is happening during these hard times: people are encouraging each other, spreading cheer and positive thoughts. We’ve seen so much of it already. In New York City, every night at 7:00, during shift change, people go to their balconies to cheer on medical workers. We see it in neighborhoods where kids hang pictures of rainbows in their windows, hoping to spread cheer and remind people to be kind. And we see it in the virtual happy hours happening around the world, where old friends have been able to reconnect, laugh and even, give their furry friends some on-camera time.
So much has changed in the last few weeks, and we know things will continue to change every day, but one thing that will never falter is the joy pets bring to our lives. These are times unlike any other, and it didn’t take long into self-quarantine for us to realize that the pets we once rescued are now rescuing us. In a time that can feel so isolating, pet parents are feeling fortunate to experience all the unconditional love from their pets. And how equally lucky are our furry loved ones, who now get to spend so much more time with us, their favorite humans.
As we all practice social distancing, one place where we can still connect is on social media, and scrolling through pictures of everyone’s pets continue to bring us joy and smiles. To help spread the PAWS-itivity we asked our pet-parent BISSELL Associates, many who are currently working from home, to tell us what words of encouragement their pets would have if they could talk.
Try not to smile as you take a peek at these pawsitively adorable messages from some of our furry friends!
