Fall cleaning may be the new spring cleaning, at least for 2020. To explain, we have to take a trip back a few months, to March of this year. Any other year, March would mark the kickoff of spring cleaning, but this year, everything changed.

Stains are a messy subject, no pun intended. Each and every stain is different and needs to be treated that way.

If there’s one thing we all have in common, it’s the planet on which we live. Every year on April 22, we celebrate the home we share by observing Earth Day. It’s a way for everyone on our planet to show support for the protection and conservation of our environment. At BISSELL, we’re constantly working to improve the environmental impact our products make, and now offer dozens of earth-friendly cleaning products for almost every corner of your home.

We believe pets deserve to feel special all the time, and lucky for them, it’s about to get even more special for our furry friends! April 11 marks National Pet Day – which for us is any day that ends in “y”. And while National Pet Day is all about our four-legged family members, we wanted to take some time to recognize the hard work of you, the pet parents, and give you something that will make caring for your pet (and their messes) easy.

At BISSELL®, we practice “spring cleaning” year-round, but we do up our game a little every year when the actual season arrives. After all these years, we’ve realized something important: not everyone has the same excitement that we do when it comes to spring cleaning. That’s why we created an easy-to-follow 20-day spring cleaning guide.

Spring Break is a much-anticipated time of year for all ages – kids look forward to it pretty much all year, and we know parents do, too! It doesn’t matter how excited you are for the trip; we know packing up your family and leaving for a week can be stressful. Regardless of if you’re hopping on a plane, loading up the car or kicking back on a train (or a combination of all of these!), each mode of transportation can come with its own set of stressors. While it would be easy for us to just tell you not to stress about the trip, we know that’s not a really helpful approach. What is helpful is setting you up for success before, during and after your trip, so let’s get to it.

If you ask any pet parent what a pet adds to life, the first few things they will likely say are joy and companionship, not messes. But as every pet parent knows, a furry companion is bound to have an accident every once and awhile. Luckily, with the right pet stain and odor removal tools on hand, cleaning up those messes is no big deal. Those unexpected pet messes and the inevitable odors are what inspire us every day in our labs. The results are effective stain and odor removal products for pet messes, no matter big or small.

Alissandra Bissell shares a few winter cleaning tips for your home and how to work them into a weekly schedule.

Congratulations! You survived arguably one of the busiest times of the year – the winter holidays. The visitors have come and gone, and now it’s time to get our house clean and back to normal. While the entertaining may be over, the cleaning is not – is it really ever? Call us crazy, but this post-holiday cleaning is actually one of our favorites. That’s because we’re not doing these chores for anyone but ourselves. When deciding what to clean after the holidays, there’s no wrong answer. In fact, there’s a lot of right answers since everything can be cleaned! Your best bet is to create your own after holiday cleaning checklist using our tips below for inspiration.

A lot of life happens on our carpets, and unfortunately that means a lot of odors can find their way onto our carpets, too. People are always asking us for recommendations how to get odor out of carpet, and we like to consider ourselves experts on removing odors from carpets. You may be surprised to find out that there’s not one single best carpet deodorizer that we recommend. It’s because we know people like options, so that’s what you’ll find in this post.

When buying a new vacuum, there are plenty of questions to ask, including whether or not you want a vacuum cleaner with bags or without bags. The most important impact this will have on your vacuuming is how you empty dirt and debris from your vacuum when you’re done cleaning. At BISSELL, most of our vacuum cleaners are bagless. The first one we offered that didn’t require bags was our CleanView® vacuum. We launched it way back in 2001, and never really looked back after that. Of the many upright vacuums we offer today, just a few are still bagged. The rest are bagless. We made the decision to make more bagless vacuums years ago, for several reasons, and we’ll break it all down for you in this post.

On the long list of things around your home that are hard to clean, grout is pretty high on that list. Don’t get us wrong, we love a good tile floor, wall or countertop. But that tile is held together with grout, and grout is hard to clean. We like to think of cleaning grout as a necessary evil to enjoy beautiful tile in our homes. And it’s amazing how easily grout attracts dirt and other messes. We’ve seen spaghetti sauce in between the kitchen counter tiles, and yes, on the backsplash, too. And don’t even get us started on the bathroom tile. If it’s not shampoo stuck on the shower and floor tiles, it’s blush or toothpaste (and sometimes both!) on the tile counters. Like everyone else, we find grout cleaning to be a huge pain point. So, we came up with a few solutions for people, like us, looking to learn how to clean tile grout, and we’ll explain them all to you in this post. By the end of it, you’ll see that the best way to clean tile grout varies depending on your cleaning needs.
