We’re so glad you decided to buy the BISSELL air220. In this video, we’ll go over a few things you need to know to get started with your air purifier.
- After you remove your air purifier from its box, you’ll want to remove the front panel to access the filters
- Remove the filters and take off the protective plastic bags.
- Replace the filters in the same order you removed them. The black Carbon filter goes in first and the pleated filter goes in second with the pre-filter facing outwards.
- Now you are ready to plug in and power your air purifier on!
- You’ll want to get comfortable with the machine’s control panel. This is where you’ll find the power, fan speed control, filter reset function, and the front digital display.
- The power button is in the center of the dial on the top of your air purifier. It turns your purifier ON and OFF
- The power button also functions as the filter reset button.
- When the filters on your machine need to be replaced, you’ll see a flashing sequence of F, 1, F, 2 on the front digital display.
- For an in-depth look at how to replace and reset these filters, check out our Replace & Reset Filters Video!
- The dial on your air220 allows you to adjust the fan speed. Turning the dial clockwise increases the fan speed and turning the dial counterclockwise decreases the fan speed.
- Turning the dial all the way down counterclockwise, will put the air220 in Auto Mode. When in Auto Mode, the letter A will appear on the front digital display.
- When you turn on the air220 it will default to AUTO mode. This mode prompts the air purifier to use its CirQulate System to monitor your indoor air and adjust the fan speed accordingly.
- The CirQulate System provides real-time, colored, air quality feedback under the front digital display.
- If the light is blue this indicates good air quality, if the light is yellow this indicates moderate air quality, and if the light is red this indicates poor air quality.
- If your indoor air quality is moderate or poor, the CirQulate System will adjust the fan speed to get your indoor air back to good.
- On the lowest fan speed, air purification is delivered at Whisper Quiet sound levels.
- Your air220 also has an automated NIGHT mode feature. As less light fills a room, the lights on the machine will turn off to contribute to a peaceful sleeping environment.
