Rated 5 out of 5 by dln I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!!!
I just purchased the Bissell Symphony and I Love it!!! I used the scrubbing pad and the machine was harder to push, but oh my gosh is my floor clean!!!! It is sometimes embarrassing to see how much dirt is left on the floor after using a traditional mop and bucket. I highly recommend this product. Next time I can use the standard pad because I have deep cleaned it already with the scrubbing pad. It is easy to set up and easy to clean. Thank-you, Bissell!!!!

I cannot believe how wonderful this steam cleaner is!! I let my brother stay at my condo while I traveled. Needless to say when I returned it was not in the shape I left it. Spilled drinks on the ceramic tile ( who knows how long they were there ), sticky messes and crumbs. I saw this on a shopping channel and decided to try it. How surprised I was to see that the messes were taken care of in minutes!! I could not ask for a better product! I would recommend this to one and all. It's that good!!!

I bought this product 2 months ago. Have used it on several occasions. It is lightweight, easy to use and cleans great. Love that I can vacuum and steam clean at the same time. Saves time and energy so I can do more important things than clean. We have bamboo and linoleum flooring and have not had any issues.
The only thing is that it obviously doesn't get into everywhere that needs to be cleaned but they are few and far between so it's okay. The only drawback is the water resevoir. A bit hard to open the cover and then if I don't use all the water...well, then I chose to dump it rather than it sitting in the tank.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Old Dave I hate "Infomercials"
I was extremely leery of the claims set forth in the infomercial for the Symphony. I've only had one good experience buying something based on a TV commercial. Until this. My lovely and intelligent spouse made the purchase about a month ago, just as we began preparations for a party. A few of our friends helped us to clean and they were all highly complimentary about it, several saying they were going to get one based on their experience. After I got the chance to try it myself I could only agree. It's easy to use, effective, and makes a dreary chore almost bearable. Hint: vacuum first, with no steam. Then, when mopping, when there are bits of trash that turn up, just hit the vacuum for a second to pick it up. Love it!

Its way too hard to push when trying to steam. Even my 20 yr. old grandson said "screw it - I am not pushing that thing around, get rid of it". And now after 3 uses (tries to use) it quit steaming - BUT the vacuum works OK. Its sitting in the corner and I am not sure what to do with it........

Rated 1 out of 5 by shaunda427 horrible luck so far
I have only had the machine a couple of months and I noticed the water would leak out extremely fast and the floor was soaked. After looking at the machine I noticed as soon as I put water in the tank it drips out around the foot and vacuum attachment. I have called customer service and they sent me a new foot for the machine. Same problem. I have called back and now they are saying it is the filter so they are sending that to me. I hope it works because I really want to like this machine but right now I am having serious doubts

I've only had this a week I have a 2 bedroom condo with ceramic tile throughout save 1bedroom with wood floor. I have always sponge mopped. This machine is a quality unit and did a fantastic job on my floors. The mop head was completely black when finished. I hope it holds up but if not it has a three year warranty. I don't think Shark products can hold a candle to it. Can't beat it for the money I've been hoping for a product like for a while.

I couldn't handle the Shark steam mop I had any longer; it kept leaking and the water was so hot, I had to let it cool down before I could empty any extra water. It was heavy, difficult to move around on the floor, and did a poor job, even though I kept purchasing new parts. I finally gave up on it.
Enter the Bissell Symphony! I have four very active cats and a very gritty litter that works wonders for odor, but it tracks and it's not easy to get it all with a broom. I also cook and bake a great deal, so the kitchen floor gets dirty quickly with dropped crumbs, grease when frying, sticky stuff, and spilled flour and sugar. I have a great landscaping wagon that I now use for trash and recycling, and the wheels bring in dirt from outside (and snow and salt in the winter). The vacuum on the Symphony picks it all up easily! Not only that, it picks up everything else on the floor I never even knew about (the floor is brown-slate vinyl)! It gets in the corners easily, too.
There's nothing easier than to vacuum and steam mop at the same time; if it's too late to vacuum, I don't want to disturb my neighbors so I sweep with a broom and then steam mop (but the broom does NOT get it all so I usually vacuum it the next day, at a decent hour).
I always use the scrub-type mop heads, and it really gets the floor clean. Just simple distilled water and steam and very little elbow grease. I just let the Symphony do its thing, and I go for the ride. I have osteoarthritis throughout my spine, as well as a pinched nerve in my back from two herniated discs and a transplanted femoral artery in my left leg, and the Symphony isn't taxing on any part of my back or legs at all. This really is literally effortless. There are times, though, when I change the mop head to the regular non-scrubbing mop head, just to make sure the floor is really clean. And I STILL pick up more dirt, but not a lot, so I know the floor is clean.
I can just vacuum, just steam mop, or do both at the same time. The vacuum is a bit noisy, but once I've hit the floor once with the vacuum, I know it's clean, so I turn the vacuum off.
This is one of the best purchases I have made. Combined with the Bissell Perfect Sweep Turbo for a quick carpet sweep, I know my apartment will always look its best.
If you want to learn about the Deep Clean Premier Bissell carpet cleaner and vacuums (upright- and hand vacs), be sure to check out my reviews there.
The Symphony is truly so easy to use. It slides easily; I don't have to push it hard like I used to with the Shark, the water stays hot, the steam goes where it's supposed to, it doesn't leak, the pads are thick and absorbent, and the machine is easy to clean up.
Of course, I have to mention that the Symphony comes in my favorite color: ruby red!
