My 1720 Series Little Green® has no or low suction. What can I do?

Answer:

1. First, make sure the collection tank isn’t full. Always empty the tank once the dirty water reaches the fill line.

2. Next, let’s see if the collection tank is locked into the unit. If can’t lock, the collection tank clip or the U-clip is most likely broken. At this point it might be best to take your Little Green® to a technician. You can find your nearest BISSELL® Authorized Service Center by clicking http://www.bissell.com/support/product-support/service-centers or by calling 1-800-237-7691, available 24 hours a day. If the collection tank is locked, check the gasket on the unit above the collection tank. If the gasket is missing or damaged, please contact one of our Authorized Service Centers.

3. Check  the upholstery tool for cracks. If it’s cracked, you’ll need to order a replacement. You can do so by clicking here: http://www.bissell.com/support/product-support/service-centers

4. See if there are any clogs in the hose by lifting the hose above the unit to allow the water to go into the collection tank. If the unit is clogged, or you still can’t get any suction, at this point it might be best to take your Little Green to a technician.
