My 1720 Series Little Green® won’t spray. What should I check?

Answer:

1. First, let’s check if there’s water in the solution tank.

2. Now, let’s make sure that the solution tank is snapped in. If it is, go on to step 3. If it isn’t, check the tab on the solution tank lid and check the U-clip on the cleaner. If either is damaged or missing, you’ll need to take your Little Green® to a technician. You can find your nearest BISSELL® Authorized Service Center by clicking http://www.bissell.com/support/product-support/service-centers or by calling 1-800-237-7691, available 24 hours a day.

3. If the tank is snapped in, check to see if your Little Green lost its prime. With the upholstery tool removed, hold the trigger for 30 seconds with unit turned off. Then, with unit turned on, hold the trigger again while pushing into the center of the solution tank to prime.

a. If you still can’t spray, check to see if the water line inside flex hose is kinked or pinched. Suction up a full tank of hot tap water into the collection tank. This will loosen any debris which may have accumulated in the hose and open the line. Then try the priming steps above again.

b. If you can spray after priming, check the upholstery tool for a clog. You clean the spray tip with a paper clip.

If you still can’t spray, at this point it might be best to take your Little Green to a technician. You can find your nearest BISSELL® Authorized Service Center by clicking http://www.bissell.com/support/product-support/service-centers or by calling 1-800-237-7691, available 24 hours a day.
