My Lift-Off 2-in-1 Stick Vac, Model 1189 Series has no power. What do I check?

  • Is the battery fully charged?
    • If no…
      • Make sure the unit is in the “OFF” position before charging.
      • Plug unit into wall outlet. The red indicator light will illuminate & remain on when plugged in. Charge the unit completely for 16 hours prior to first use.
      • When the unit is fully charged the indicator light will change from red to green.
      • When the unit if fully discharged, approximately 6 hours of charging is required for the battery to regain full capacity.
      • The unit will run up to 21 minutes once fully charged.
        • PLEASE NOTE: The adapter may become warm during charging- this is normal.
      • If the machine does run, but not for the full 21 minutes, a new battery pack may be needed. Please contact BISSELL Consumer Care to place an order at 1-800-237-7691 Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 10:00 pm EST, Saturday 9:00 am – 8:00 pm EST, Sunday 10:00 am – 7:00 pm EST.
  • Is the power cord plugged firmly in the outlet?
    • If yes, the power cord is firmly plugged in…
      • Check for a blown household fuse or breaker.
      • Check to see if charger is warm
