1) If the your mop is leaving too much water on the floor, you could have it set to a steam setting that’s more than you need, or you could be going over the same spot for too long. The 15-20 second sanitizing method in the User’s Guide is meant to sterilize the area being cleaned and isn’t necessary during normal use.
2) Now let’s check the water tank.
a) Remove the tank.
b) Check to see if there are any cracks or leaks on the tank itself. They may be difficult to see, so inspect the filter in a well-lit area or room. Make sure there is water in the tank to see if it drips.

3) Next, check that the cap on the base of the water tank is not cracked and that the rubber gasket on the tip of the cap is still attached to the unit.
4) Check that the x-valve is working properly. The x-valve is inside the rubber gasket in the cap. Push up on the valve over the sink to ensure that the water releases out of the tank. 5) Check the water tank to make sure it’s seated correctly. The tank must be firmly pressed into the mop in order to work properly.
