A very awesome product. I love that I do not have to sweep and then mop. The only downfall is that it does not get into corners well. However, the amount of dirt it gets up is incredible. I would recommend this for large areas. You may want to try a smaller Steam Mop Select for areas like just a bathroom. I do wish it was easier to change pads out in the middle of a job. I have a larger house and tend to go through 3 pads to get it truly clean. The pads do an amazing job at keeping in the dust though.

I had bought this last March and absolutely loved this product until about a month in a half ago and it no longer works. The water no longer gets hot, the pads on the bottom don't stick to the Velcro anymore. And of coarse I'm sure I have had to long to return it. Being a family of 6 and one income the price was great, but don't have the extra money to replace it. Very disappointed it didn't even last a year. ;(

This is a great machine. I have a new puppy and he is all over the place. Used the steamer for the first time this weekend and it worked better than I thought. It cut my cleaning time in half. Cleaned up the hair and debris and steam cleaned the floors all at once. Left and clean smell throughout the house. The floor dried quick too. I would recommend this to anyone with or without a pet. I used it on my tile and hardwood floors.
You won't be disappointed.

I was astonished at how clean my floors are, and the benefit of steam to sanitize where I was sweeping. This is my second Bissell product in one year, but my first steam & sweep.
I love to do my floors now, and I don't have to get on the floor to make sure that the floors are scrubbed well.
Thank you, Bissell, you have made a lifetime user of your floor products.

I was hoping this product would eliminate several floor cleaning tasks and products. However, my experience with the "sweep" function did not meet my expectations. Although the unit does a good job of collecting all the runaway fur balls, it leaves a layer of dirt on my slate floors. Then when I use the "steam" function, I end up with mop pads full of mud. It takes multiple pads to finish the job. The unit also needs redesign or attachments to get into the corners and under cabinets.
I will need to purchase an additional machine like an electric broom to pick up the dirt. I may still need the Swiffer for the corners and around the toilet. Then I can use the steamer to make the floors shine. Instead of one step, I have three.
I am also running out of storage space for the three Bissell cleaners (Proheat cleaner, compact cleaner, Steam & Sweep) the two Swiffers (wet & dry), broom and mop.

I had seen this product and others like it advertised on TV and thought I could stop purchasing so many Swiffer products and save money by not throwing things away at the end of cleaning my wood floors. However, after only 3 weeks of using this Steam&Sweep Pet, my floors are streaked and the "vacuum" part of it leaves a pattern of the rubber arms on the floor as well. My husband even commented that the floor looks streaked and not shiny any longer. I probably have had it too long to return, and it does work on the tile floors in the basement...but will be returning to Swiffer for a streak free, shinier floor.

THIS WORKED GREAT FOR ME FROM A WHEELCHAIR TO PICK UP PET HAIRS FROM CERAMIC AND LAMINATE FLOORS. IT TAKES SOME GETTING USE TO IN THE BEGINNING, DO NOT HOLD THE TRIGGER DOWN THE WHOLE TIME. I ALSO HAVE THE RECHARGEABLE SWEEPER WHICH I LOVE, PERFECT FOR AREA RUGS, DOG HAIRS, CRUMBS. I CANT BELEIVE HOW WELL IT PICKS UP HAIRS! I ALSO HAVE SPOTBOT, THIS PRODUCT WORKS EXCELLENT FOR DOG AND KID MESSES. IT DOES LEAVE A RING FROM WHERE YOU CLEANED IF THE REST OF YOUR CARPET IS DIRTY! IT DOES CLEAN AND IS EASY TO USE.

I really want this thing to work properly because it is easy to use, light, and I love that I don't have to use chemicals. However, on the very first use, I did about half of my floor when I noticed it was drying into a chalky film.
Please tell me what I need to do to fix this, otherwise, sadly, I'll be returning it to the retailer.

I was really excited to receive the Steam&Sweep Pet, it works nice but could be a whole lot better,It did not reach my expectations. The roller bar on the sweeper part was weak and would stop rotating with just the slightest touch, the strength of the suction was not good either, It would not even pick up a little clump of dried dirt about the size of a pencil eraser.Last of all, the whole housing of the unit was too tall to go up under the toe-kick of my kitchen cabinets, and that is a must! I hate to say I have returned my Steam&Sweep Pet and am waiting for my refund. I love Bissell products, but the Steam&Sweep Pet needs lots of improvement, I would purchase it again if you would address these issues.

If you have a dog and you have hard wood floors, you need to get this. Before I got this I was forever chasing hair bunnies. This collects them up and then you can steam clean after. I'll never go back to brooms.. at least not for sweeping :)

It is a good unit, but it was no good for my use. Being an owner of an old bissell steam cleaner, this one with the vacuum made me upset. I could not get under my counters, and it was not easy to use behind the toilet. They should have created it with the stem of the handle being in the middle to give you an option of having the vacuum in the front or the steam cleaner in the front. I loved the vacuum aspect of this machine but with it being in the front, not allowing me to have the "swivel" control, this machine is worthless to me. I am packing it up and returning it. I am sad because I love bissell products and have never had a problem with their warranty, but this product made me completely dissatisfied. They have created a good product, but the setup of it in my opinion is not "cleaner friendly", I don't want to have to struggle with my equipment to clean my floor, if it is supposed to save me time, I should not have to still grab a mop to get the spots this unit did not. :(

I bought this because I thought it would be easier to use than a broom and mop. I returned it the following Monday. It is hard to use, heavy, don't move smooth over the surface. I first had to use the sweeper and then the steamer because of the dog hair. When I used the steamer and was done, the floor was NO cleaner than if I had just mopped. The pad on the unit was dirty only around the edges. NO dirt at all in the center of the pad. Did not like at all.

This is an awful product ... it vacuumed up next to nothing, and with 3 dogs there is plenty of loose hair on the floor. Beisdes not picking up dry matter, it smeared dirt into patterns on the floor. I had to first vacuum then mop the entire house when I was done with this product. I bought it to save time , ha!

The Steam & Sweep Pet does steam and does sweep, but barely and that's about it. Don't get me wrong - I wasn't expecting it to do the dishes or fold my laundry, but I was expecting it to sweep better than like 75% of the debris and also to steam without having to hold the trigger so much to actually get steam out (and yes, I know you don't HAVE to hold it down the whole time). The "maneuverable swivel head" is a joke and is more ackward than anything; just flopping out there. Both the guide wheels on the bottom and the rubber brush leave smears on the floor, even when the brush isn't on. The unit feels cheap despite the fact that it's hard to push and doesn't like switching from one type of hard floor to another. I could keep going, but I see most of the same complaints out there. It's a disappointment and I regret my purchase.

I was so happy it cleaned old stains off my wood floors and dried so quickly I let the dogs play out side and it was dry in no time. But if you have carpets or rugs you need the pet steam cleaner it is SO good

I had higher expectations because it was called Steam&Sweep PET. I found it did not save me time. After I steamed and vaccumed, I had to go back and sweep up all the clumps of dog hair that was left behind, AFTER the floor dried, so that added to my time. I bought this to save me time. The steamer is nice, but having to hold down the button was tiring since I have a large kitchen. I would rather buy a $30 Swiffer and sweep since it takes the same amount of time but $100 cheaper. I've had mine 2 weeks and am planning on returning it. Also, very noisy.

It worked well on my kitchen and bathroom floors. My floors haven't been this white and clean for a long time. I tried other mops and this steam and sweep for pets is alot better than the others on the market. Love it

I used the steam and sweep pet on three floor areas and found it to leave a clean streak free finish. Even though it has a sweeping feature I did pre-sweep and the steam feature remove dirt and grease amazingly well.

It's better at steaming than sweeping, which is a problem because a poor sweep job first pretty much guarantees a poor steam job to follow. Worked great on my tile floors but left beater bar marks on my engineered hardwood floors. Will be returning.

The sweep porition did not pickup the layer of dust on the floor, which is typical for my floor in Arizona. It also did not do a good job on the pet hairs. The mop side left gray streaks on the floor. I had to wax the floor to remove the streaks.

One of the most difficult chores for me is the sweeping and mopping of my hard floors. Due to back injury which left me disabled. I would just dread having to clean floors.
The Steam and Sweep is a dream. Work done in 1/4th of the time,floors absolutely barefoot clean,and no back ache after. The ultimate test was the next day,after my first use, I spilled on my kitchen floor. Took a clean white wash cloth and wiped up the spot, the cloth had no dirt on it, this never happened before.

I was so excited to get my Bissell steam mop and vacuum after trying it several times on wood and vinyl floor I am so disappointed. It leaves streak marks on the floor and when I use the brush it also leaves brush marks making the floor look bad. That is a lot of money to spend on a product that I am so unhappy with. Am I using it wrong? Anyone else have that problem?

I bought the Steam&Sweep Pet for newly installed wood floors. It is wonderful to have a powerful vacuum and steam mop built into one unit. The Steam&Sweep Pet is light and easy to maneuver.
Since I have not had or used this for long, I only wonder about the durability of it. There is no step latch to release the handle...instead you step on the bottom of the unit and pull the hand back. Also, the dirt release bin is not in the best place. To empty that, you have to step on the latch release, then pick the unit up away from the bin. I wish that were a little more accessible to empty.
All in all, so far, it is a great concept and is useful.

I used the steamer for the first time today. I like not having to vacuum the pet hair and litter first - it's all in one step. It did clean the cement floors, but I noticed the cleaning pad left streaks. Since no owner's manual came with my product I'm wondering if I did something wrong. After cleaning, I wiped down the unit, only to find that the kitty litter that was vacummed up got damp and "gunky". Otherwise, the floor looked cleaner (except for the pad streaks). I will try it again soon.

I purchased this product because My rechargeable Swiffer Sweeper works great but does not hold power long enough to finish my whole house, which is entirely hard flooring, and this product has a power cord.
On the plus side: It assembles easily, is light and maneuverable, and the water reservoirs and sweeper pan are easy to remove and replace.
On the minus side, the box states it sweeps and mops in one step, but the printed instructions INSIDE the box suggest sweeping first, then mopping. Also, it seems to rely on brush action rather than suction and I found that in order to pick up cat and dog hair, I had to pick it up and set it down repeatedly, so it was not very efficient on my tile or hard wood floors. I plan to return it to the store because I do not feel it performs as represented.

I was very excited about this product when I brought it home. There were two things that disappointed me, however. It is a little clunky for small spaces (around toilets, for example) and difficult to turn. The second thing was the "sweeper" function. It did little good for my floor where toddler crumbs are prevalent. I still have to sweep first before steaming the floor.
The plus side is that the steamer works beautifully. It is dry in just a few minutes and I love that I can just wash the mop pads.
