I recieved my cleaner and had 6 rooms to clean..The rugs were terrible cause they are so old and stained...I used the cleaners and on the tough stains I used the hand tools...The rugs all came out 80% better than I expected..It works great..I had no trouble at all putting it together and it was easy switching from hand tools to regular cleaner.

My ProHeat Pet Deep Cleaning System has worked phenomenal for several years. It has been the best investment since we've had young kids. It has definitely helped us pass two move out inspections. Bissell support has been great as well helping out with any and all issues we've had.

I love the cleaner. It does a very good job helping me keep the apartment clean with two puppies inhouse. It's also great on the upholstery (I have a velvet and leather couch!). My issue with it is that I have intermittent problems with it dispensing shampoo and now it won't even dispense the water. Not sure what's up with it, but I've not even had it a year now and I'm wondering if it will only get worse from now on.

I am honestly very disappointed I used this product maybe 5 times since I have had it. I bought this July of 2010. I have a German Shepard so one can imagine the amounts of hair I have in my carpets year long. I cleaned my carpets just fine in march of this year (2012) it worked fine. I went to use it at my in-laws house because they bought a new puppy. The bottom part would not dispense any water nor formula. The floor was just heated carpet that smelt horrid. We took it apart to see what was going on and it showed nothing. We replaced the belt the screws the hose (I thought that it could have been clogged) to this day it still doesn't work. I have always only had Bissell Products. I can honestly say this is the only one I am disappointed in I really expected it to last for more than 2 years. Maybe the next one I get we will have better luck with it lasting.

While cleaning the seventh room in our house a dark liquid started showing up on the carpet. It appears to be coming from just behind the left brush area. (It looks like there is a small belt in this area )Could this be from overheating due to cleaning too many rooms at a time? We were able to clean the liquid or drops up, however we do not want to continue cleaning until we determine this problem.

I purchased this machine because I always heard that bissell was the best. I was not disappointed it cleans and it is easy to operate and has easy to follow instructions. It is easy to fill and is easy to empty and it is easy to operate.
The Deep Clean & Protect dose a good job of cleaning and protecting your carpet. I also purchased the Tough Stain pretreat and it dose a marvelous job I am very happy with my purchase.

This is the fourth and best cleaner I have owned. This is also the third Bissell I have purchased and each one has been better that the last. This machine is so amazing and easy to use that I actually don't mind cleaning the carpet. It is so very easy to use and cleans as good as a professional cleaning, if not better. I was so impressed with this cleaner that I decided to purchase a Bissell bagless vacuum cleaner and I must say it is far better than I could have hoped for. The suction is awesome and constant. No loss. I am able to get my carpets so clean they look and feel as good as new. Another bonus, less dusting. Thank you for all the money it saves me not to mention the time. I am a true Bissell believer and customer for life.

I bought this machine one week ago and have only used it once. Last night I went to clean the carpet in the master bedroom, and the machine smelt like it was burning rubber. The rollers were not spinning, so I checked the belt and it was fine. I also noticed when I moved from the carpet across the tile in the bedroom, it left a streak of dirty water. When the machine is left upright to plug it in, it leaks. I called customer service to find out how to replace the machine, but was told to take it to the service center 20 miles away or try to take it back to the store I bought it from. Really? I just bought a new machine, and it already has to be fixed? Don't waste your time or money on this machine.

Bought this unit about 6 months ago. Worked great and used it alot, having two large dogs and two boys running around making messes. Just this week I have been having issues with it. Belt broke( no biggy it happens) one of the belt retainer pieces broke( replaced that) and now after everything is put back together the blasted thing won't spit water regularly and when it does it stops sucking. belt is spinning.. brushes are spinning. The suction indicator spinny thing is not spinning though. I cleaned the pet hair out of the machine. Suggestions please

I have a cat who has issues with hairballs. It usually occurs when I am at work, so I don't see it until it is ground into the carpet. This machine got out every last bit of the stains, something nothing else I tried did. I used the pretreat, and the pet stain and odor cleaning solution. I definitely recommend this product to anyone with pets. You would never know there was an issue on any part of the carpet.

I purchased this cleaner a few years ago have had good luck- smells so clean and fresh-- with three dogs-- it takes work! Put I washed rugs today and the cleaner isn't emptying as fast as the water-- it was like it wasn't working-- I am confused- please help!

I have had my machine for about 2 years and with 3 small dogs and a pre teen son I have used it a LOT and have loved it, until this week :( If I fill the bladder with clean water, put it back in the machine and stand the handle up and turn it on it will dispense and suck up water all on its own. This would be fine if it would suck up the water as fast as it would empty, but that is not the case. It pretty much floods my floor and only picks up maybe a cup or two of dirty water. All without touching the trigger...... I really can’t afford a new machine, but I also can’t afford to flood my house. How do I fix this?

i got this because i was sick of using my spot bot to clean larger areas now that we got a second puppy. this stand-up shampooer is AWESOME! i get a whole room done in 15 minutes instead of spot cleaning for an hour+. My carpets look fluffy and refreshed and the spots are gone! thank you bissell! i havent used the attachment yet, but everything else on it seems to work great. =)

The attachement works just fine. The main unit will not dispense liquid. It will vacuum back up but not dispense. I find myself using the hand held to put out the cleaning solution and then using the main unit to vacuum up. What a hassle. Any suggestions on what is wrong? The belt is NOT broken, the filter is NOT stopped up. It seems to be sealing just fine also so I am lost of what to try next. Any suggestions?

I am very upset over paying so much for my Pet Deep Cleaning system. I have only used it 3 times in 5 monts and now I can't even do that. The bladder tank leaks, the hose with attachments does not work. The latch for the handle is froze up and will not let me lock it into place (that broke the second time I went to release it with my foot. I can not shampoo at all with it, your advise take it to a Bissell repair center. I am 70 and can not drive 50 miles one way to get to a repair center.
I thinke I will have to go buy another HOOVER shampooer. It was 19 yrs. old no problems with it but I wanted a pet shampooer for my 2 cats.
Can't buy anything now days that is dependable.

We have had this product about a year and a half have 3 dogs and a cat and my wife uses this thing way more than she should. I wish there was an odometer on this unit so I could watch it turn over at 100k miles. :) She has gone through a couple belts, a roller, broken the clear front plate, and tried putting the lid to the tank through the heated dryer on our dishwasher which warped it. Getting parts for this is simple and cheaper than most other places online. Replacing the parts is simple too. I have only ever needed a philips head screw driver. Good product.

One long haired dog in the house. The machine is great at picking up hairs and removing pet stains. The weight of the machine is no problem. I cleaned the 8x12 rug without tiring out. I would recommend this product . Essie

I bought this because I had a few stains to clean on our carpets before we had guests at Christmas and the brand I wanted wasn't available. The machine was very powerful and I enjoyed it the first time, even though it leaves a wet line where you stop which is kind of annoying. Then a few months later I pulled it back out because my carpets were looking yucky. It was working okay then but I discovered that the attachments are pretty worthless-- they leak, one shoots cleaning fluid horizontally where there is zero hope of it ever reaching the carpet in the immediate area (though I did spray myself in the eye when I was trying to investigate the problem) but I was even pretty okay with that since I knew I wouldn't use them that much anyway. Then the formula tank started leaking. Pretty profusely. I fixed that issue. Since then I only clean with hot water. It is a pain in the patootie to clean up that soapy water and I expect the leaking problem to return at some point in the future. Now the dirty water is leaking all over my freshly cleaned floor and I cannot figure out what the heck is wrong with it. The gasket looks fine, I don't see any leaks when it is off of the machine but every time I push it to the tile and get the tank off I see a big puddle of filth on my tile. It's really, really annoying and that is about where I draw the line. The machine is supposed to help me keep my house clean and I simply cannot stand for it making a mess in the process.

Eebought the Bissell 8910 about 2 years ago. We have used it approx 6 times and now the pump quit while I was cleaning our carpet. Seems like I had to work on this at least twice before by cleaning the water heater which still clogs up even if you rinse. I am trying to determine if I want to keep working on this unit or just go buy a Hoover.

Gets the carpets clean, but from the first time I used it I noticed the suction part clogging with pet hair every pass. Turns out our vacuum cleaner was still set to HIGH from our old house. After turning it to low and vacuuming twice (TWICE!) before shampooing, the unit stills clogs with hair, albeit every third pass now.
However, today, I attempt to use my cleaner for the third time ever, and it dies. I smell belt burning. Pop the cover off (which should NOT require a tool, Bissell!) but the belt is not broken. Turn it on, motor turns but belt does not. Turned the belt by hand, then it broke. Turns out the part where the belt connects to the beater assembly/pump unit was COMPLETELY JAMMED WITH PET HAIR!!!
So now I'm working on cleaning the unit out and figuring which belt to send my wife after.
All in all, I understand that a good vacuum is important, but this is a "PET CARPET CLEANING SYSTEM!" I kind of expect it to handle pet hair much better than it does. I mean, how is it that wet pet hair can even get to the belt?!

I purchased this cleaner approximately five months ago, took it home and used it right then. Wow it worked great. unfortunately when I go to refill the formula tank the cap assembly and tank do not properly connect (there is a gap where the cap screws in). I thought it was a faulty washer or a broken thread in the cap assembly so I purchased a new assembly from Bissell; only to put it together and found the same results. I was satisfied with it while it was working but sadly when I place the formula tank back in the holster all it does is leak formula all over. Quite dissatisfying.

I thought this would be a great product and it did work great the first time I used it. Here we are several months later and it won't pump water. I checked over the troubleshooting list and everything seems fine. (By the way, don't bother looking in the manual to see where the pump belt is.) I should have saved my money and paid to have the carpet cleaned, at least then I would've gotten 3 rooms done for the same price as the one-time machine.
The good news is it does still suck. I found this out after spilling water on the floor when removing the tank.

When I first used my Cleaner I loved it carpets looked great the Unit worked awesome. Now it won’t dispense water or cleaner. From reading other reviews I’m not the only one with this problem. Very Upset wish I never wasted my money. My Machine is about 6 months old I started having problems about a month after I purchased it then it started working fine again and now it just completely stopped dispensing all together.

Well this is my second Pro Heat Pet Bissell in 2 1/2 years .
The first one broke down on me right after warranty ended . The belts broke and it did not suck any water. Now shortly after i got another Bissell Pro Heat Pet and the belts broke alittle after one year, the solution does not get pumped and it doesnt suck the water from the Carpets as well and leaves the Carpets way to wet. I would not recommend this carpet shampooer to anyone! I thought by buying a shampooer specifically for pets would meet my needs but boy was i wrong . I own Newfoundlands and Cats so alot of hair and i use it on a regular basis. I wish Bisssell would work on the problems that so many people describe here as it seems this is an on going problem. These days we have to watch what we spend our hard earned money on so having to buy a new Carpet shampooer every year is not a good thing. I normaly like Bissell products but i should start to get a discount lol. Now i am looking for a new Carpet shampooer and don't know if i can relay on Bissell. I would love to hear from Customer service with what they would recommend or if they are working on the obviously problems.

I have had this unit for 2 years now and have always had issues with it. The first time I used it, it did a great job, my carpets were very clean, it even sucked out hair that my vacuum missed! HOWEVER, the belt broke right away, the hand tool is always falling out of the clip, the hand tool always leaks excess nasty water when it falls out of the clip(no matter how much I think I have emptied it out), sometimes it will not dispense cleaner, the area on the front of the unit where the dirty water gets sucked up is hard to clean, I could go on and on. Very disappointed with this purchase!

First time I used this model, no cleaning solution was released. I had nearly finished the dining room before I noticed that the solution tank was still full. After turning the knob to "rinse" and back to "normal" the cleaner used solution. BUT the second time I put in cleaning solution, (for the next large room) the cleaning solution immediately drained out onto the floor. I have tried several more times, but the solution bottle leaks at the cap. Do I need a new bottle already? I have only cleaned my carpets once.
