I got this machine and used only one time, and it stopped working at all. There is no water sprayed to the carpet at all. That;s it. Seems like I wasted money on this.

this is my second x2 machine and it is one wonderful machine.
when we sold our home we left a near new machine. this was one of the first items I purchased for our new home here in Texas. they work great. they are easy to use. the carpet is near dry when you use them as directed.

I borrowed my daughter's Bissell Proheat Deep Cleaning System. I really loved it and I'm going to buy my own. It doesn't call for a lot to do to get started just put your solution in and go. It does require to keep filling it up and dumping the dirty water out a lot but other than that it's really good.

This cleaner doesn't last very long. I use it twice a year and when there's an emergency. Twice the pump belt has broken and left me with a mess. The first time I ordered a replacement through Bissell and it took two weeks to get to me!! This time I haven't replaced the belt yet because I noticed that the silver bar that it is attached to is RUSTY!! It's probably why the first belt broke and I didn't notice it. I didn't realize the bar was suppose to be a silver color. Also, the pully that holds the brush belt fell off. Again I am left with a mess and stains on my four year old carpet!! This machine is only three years old and not abused.

The dispenser to spray the rug and the vacuum stopped working. Had to use the furniture tool to dispense cleaner and vacuum the floor, Then they stopped working. Followed the trouble shooting advice to no avail. Bissel suggested that we take the cleaner to shop to fix it. We will get a new cleaner, but it will not be Bissell.

You can't go wrong with this! I had a severely stained 12 year old carpet and just the first cleaning made my carpet look almost brand new. I think it did a better job than the professional carpet cleaners that cleaned it 6 months before..

This is the second ProHeat machine that I've had (the first one got chewed up by another dog). This one, I bought from a dealer that was a remanufactured unit that I got at a good price.
First off, in some of the reviews that I've read, people have complained about the small tank size. I actually see that as a benefit. I have about 750 square feet of carpet in my house, with two large rooms and twe smaller rooms. My carpet is about 12 years old, and was a rental for almost 3 years to a family with 6 kids. Before I bought this, I had the carpet cleaned twice and I still had spots on the floor. The store I bought this from sold me an enzymatic spot remover and I used it on the spots. That, along with the prepackaged cleaner that came with the machine made the carpet look better than I had seen it in years!
Second, I know that this is a DEEP CLEANER and not a VACUUM. With a Vac, you're taking quicker strokes. With this deep cleaner, you take much slower strokes. Also, I found great results when you apply the cleaner and do 3 strokes of extraction the same way as the cleaner was applied, then do 2 strokes at a 90degree angle, then the last stroke with the nap of the carpet. I could kneel on the carpet within an hour of cleaning it and my knees didn't get wet.
Third, if anyone is concerned about durability, this is a residential unit. The only way to get better construction would to be buying a $1500 COMMERCIAL unit that would weigh much more. Mainly it goes back to how you take care of it. If you read the instruction manual and do as it recommends, it will serve you for years with good service.
All in all, this is a great machine. I didn't want a machine that had a bunch of bells and whistles, and I took the recommendation of the owner of the Vac and Sew store that I purchased it from. They have to do the warranty repair work and have very few repairs on them. After using this machine, I can see why. Easy to use and easy to clean. What more can you ask for?

I've had my proheat for several years and have been amazed from the start at how well it works. With four dogs and four cats my 10 year old carpets take a beating and when I am convinced that they will have to be replaced I get out my proheat again and years are taken off! It pulls more pet hair out of my carpet than my expensive vacuum.
However......recently I have been having problems with the water/soap dispenser. The little red "spinner" isn't spinning and the carpet does not get wet. Now the engine is smelling hot. Is this fixable or do I have a good excuse to get a newer model????

I have had my ProHeat for around ten years now and it still works like it is brand new. I love the fact that it is easy to use and cleans up easy when I am done.One thing that I think is very important is to fill the soap dispenser with water and rinse the inside of the machine out thoroughly before storing it away for any amount of time. I made the mistake once of putting it away with soap still in the lines and it dried up inside of my heater and took a while to get it working again. I am very happy that I bought this unit instead of one of their competitors.

Being a previous owner of the big green machine, which I loved but was very heavy. the pro heat is so easy to use. Lightweight and does a teriffic job. No back pain on emptying the dirty water. It is a smaller machine as far as the water container and the dirty water is concerned but It is something I can handle by myself. It also does as good a job if not better, taking out pet stains and general cleaning. I find that I can use this as necessary and not break my back. I would recommed this to everyone. My daughter just borrowed it for her basement carpet and it did an excellant job on the stain that have been it the carpet awhile.

we have hard carpet to keep clean. we have 4 big dogs that are in and out all day and night wet or dry sound like fun its easier with this new bissel pro-heat! third cleaner in 10 yrs first bissel. realy does a great job only drawback is the tank is small lots of trips to sink but it realy does a great job.

I bought this product having very little faith since my mother had a different ype of cleaner and it really didn't seem to do the job. I was surprised at how clean my rugs came out. My carpets look like new! I think the heater helps as well. The hose helped me get into tight spots and remove a stain from my sofa. I was also glad to read that it helps protect my carpet warranty from 3M.
The only drawback is that the tank is small and fills up quickly. I have a small house so it's not an issue for me.
I would definitely recommend this cleaner.

I was very pleased with the results I got cleaning my carpet in my bedroom. Hasn't been cleaned since we moved in and I was anxious to get it cleaned but didn't want to use a cleaning service. The Pro-heat cleaner did an excellent job and got out all the stains which was a plus as I was worried it might not since we are in the house 5 years now and my bedroom gets lots of traffic and use. I'm looking forward to cleaning the rest of the carpets in the house now. My room was a practice cleaning and like I said I am very pleased with the results.

I loved the way it cleaned when I first got it which was about a month ago, I used it a few times and then one of the belts just broke and the only way to get a new belt is to order it off line I cant run to the store to get it. Im waiting for the replacement to come in and hoping its an easy fix and it keeps cleaning like before. I still have a warranty so I can always return it but its just an easy machine to use ill see what happens with the belt first!

I had my system for less than nine months when it quit working. At least I thought it was working before. My carpet always stayed very wet, and smelled wet for days after I cleaned it. Stains had to be cleaned by hand after the "big clean". Now it won't spray at all, followed all the self-help steps, no luck. The belt is not broken, even the had tool won't work. No more Bissells for me.

The carpet cleaner worked really well and was easy to use. Clean up was simple. However, i did not like the attachment to use on hard floors. It did not clean my floor as well as i thought it would, it did dry really fast. I went back over my floor with a sponge mop. I think i will just use my swiffer mop for my kitchen floor and continue to use the carpet cleaner for my carpet. I have used Bissell products for years and am always pleased.

Previous problems all improved. And the upper hose assembly attaches poorly and falls off during my first use. But I will borrow parts from my old cleaner.

I have had the bissell pro heat for approximately 2 years. I had only used it once during that time and it worked fine. It was in cleaned per instructions and in a closet since then. I was ready to use it again this year and the pump belt had broken. I went to two different stores. One where I purchased the item and the second because I have seen this item being sold there. Neither of these stores had the replacement parts. Needless to say I had to go on line to bissell to order the part needed. The belt should not have broken with only one use.

I am still in shock over the unbelievable performance of the ProHeat Deep Cleaning System. Just after using it once the carpet's appearance was not only noticeably visible, but seems to have also improved the air quality significantly in our home.

About 10 years ago I lived in an apartment with the worst carpet ever. I had a working husband, growing child, toddler, and a crawling baby. On the advice of a friend, I went and bought a $69.99 Bissell steam cleaner at Target. I still have that that upright, little white machine! It cleans my entire 3 bedroom up and downstairs house! I have taken very good care of this machine. Cleaned any gunk from it, ran clear water through it, watched what type of cleaners I used in it, wipe it down before I store it, etc. I plan to replace it with the steamer listed, only because, I'm spoiled, and I want the hand held attachment to be able to do my couches and cars. I'm going to pass the other one onto my sister in law who is just starting out. I steam clean every 6 months, and spot clean as necessary. Think of the $ you save on professional cleaning with this investment. If I bought this machine, and it broke in a year, I would call customer care. Odds are they will do whatever it takes to try and help troubleshoot. If they couldn't help me or replace the product, I would simply buy another. My reasoning; for the price, and the use I get out of it, you can not hire a professional carpet cleaning service to come in twice a year or at your beckon call for the listed price - end of story.

I like the fact that the Bissell ProHeat Deep cleaning system will remove dark black stain's from our carpet. We have never ever found any other Deep Clean machine that will remove all of the deep down stain's in our carpet like the way Bissell ProHeat Deep cleaning system will remove. I Mean for Instance My Fianc'e Terry is a welder who works on Tank's at his Job, & the Bissell ProHeat removed set in stains that had been there for over a year. Me& my fianc'e are truly amazed at what this machine can do. We are truly sold on any product that Bissell has Built. Thank you so much for Building such a great great Product.

It worked just as the description said. I like the ease of use. It cleans up well. I run some clean water through to clean out the sprayers. This helps it stay gunk free. I also recommend Bissel cleaner. It seems to work better than other name brands.

I bought the Proheat 25A3 from Best Buy in 2010, and just realized today, after watching the video on the website, that my machine never worked the way it was supposed to work for one single day! I never saw the water being sucked up from the front, and the dirty water just get recycled into the inner tank. Always thought that this was how it was supposed to be (first deep clean cleaner I had) and I realized that I was broke from day 1! I feel cheated.

I have a carpet that really shows the dirt & I have pets so my carpet gets dirty ofter. This machine is wonderful. Really cleans the carpet. I also have a Bissell vacumn cleaner & the little green machine & I love all of them. Best brand out there & they work.
