Rated 3 out of 5 by yts38 Second try with a different Bissell
I just assembled and am ready to see if this model can work better.
I had bought the cleaner specifically for pets, and after vacuuming and preparing, I was happy with the results until......
The cleaner no longer would clean, and made quite a lot of noise as if something was stuck. Checked and checked but could not make it work, luckily, Wal-Mart honored the 90 day return, and since they no longer carried the model I had (wonder why) I came home with the pro series.
I will send a follow-up review once I do the bedrooms, wish me luck!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Dog Mom of Two Loving it so far!
I purchased the Bissel ProHeat 2x today, kind of on a whim. I have two Labs and I foster dogs, so needless to say there have been plenty of accidents (involving plants being torn apart on my den rug). I always though my carpets were clean, I use a Dyson to vacuum and I treat the pet spots with Natures Miracle normally. Well boy was I wrong!!!
First of all the Bissell was incredibly easy to assemble and get started. Thank you for that!
Second, the amount of dirty water that was being returned absolutely astonished me...it was actually rather gross! AND the carpets were dry about 80-90% with just a few hours!!
On the other hand, I had to fill the bladder three times to clean a 8'x11' and a 5'x7' carpet. Granted the larger rug has about a 1" pile. And cleaning out the tank afterwards (more so the dog hair and dirt) was a bit of a pain. You have to maneuver the bladder around and figure out which chamber is linked to what opening so you can rinse it out.
Overall: cleaning power, drying power, and ease of use 5 stars!!!
Machine cleaning after use and bladder size...I have to give about a 3.5-4 stars.

I had a Hoover extractor before and the Bissell brought out more out of the carpet. The 2 brushes are great and the heat makes for better cleaning.

I was so impressed the first time I used my Bissell. I have used Rug Doctors for many, many times and was so excited to have my own carpet cleaner. I was very satisfied with the results. However, with each subsequent cleaning ( now at the 5x mark) I find more and more water is being left in the carpet. Help!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Susan First time use - excellent carpet cleaner
I had a great deal of trepidation when I purchased this machine. I had read some of the less-than-perfect reviews and I was worried about buying something that would not last. That said, I did buy it and used it for the first time today.
Assembly was relatively easy although the holes where you insert the screws to attach the upper and lower part of the machine were hard to manage. They are deep with the screws going into the bottom of the holes. I found I had to do much of that by "feel" and although I believe I got it right I was not at all comfortable with whether I did it right or not.
I'm quite impressed with the cleaning power of this carpet cleaner; combined with the carpet cleaner and booster that came with it, I found it took out stains from my off-white carpet that I never thought I would see clean again.
why didn't I give it a five rating? Well, I haven't seen how long this cleaner will continue to work so I'm reserving my judgment on that for later. Also, the size of the accompanying sample cleaning solutions was pretty small. I did a small diningroom a hallway, and part of a bedroom before I ran out of everything except the Booster solution and a small amount of the spray spot cleaner. I would have hoped that Bissell would have provided enough solution for at least an average sized livingroom/diningroom combination. These are not high-priced items overall and I could have purchased them from the store, but I was hoping what was included would cover the first cleaning. Years ago I used an Oreck and although it did a god job, it was unwieldy to use and had a large "storage footprint" - it didn't fit comfortably in any of my closets. However, the good people at Oreck DID provide enough shampoo to properly test and use the machine - I was able to clean my livingroom, diningroom, two bedrooms and a small hallway with the complimentary shampoo that was provided. I greatly appreciated that and stayed with that cleaner for quite some time before buying this Bissell.
So now I have to leave my home to go to the store to buy more carpet cleaner so I can finish what I started today. Just 5 more ounces would have made this trip unnecessary.
So, overall I am very impressed with the ease of use and the cleaning results of this machine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Eva Does a great job... If I have a baggy handy
My handheld accessory as leaked from the very first day I've used it. I thought maybe things needed To be seated better or tightened better. No. I have to hold a baggy over the spray nozzle while I'm sucking up water just to keep it from soaking the surface again. I'm told I now have to take it to Greensboro (25 min drive) and have it checked out. I've only used this steam cleaner 3x and I'm having to invest more than I paid for it.
