I do believe you have a winner with this system. I purchased the ProHeat 2x Cleaning System to replace the two systems that were forever breaking down. I found the two brush system far superior then my other machine for cleaning power. It's easy to handle. Easy to remove the water container and easy to fill. My only minus on the machine is I wish it had a bigger tank. Another plus for the machine is the seperate container for the cleaning solution. I look forward to trying some of your other product lines

I bought this Bissell Pro-Heat and it worked good for about a few months...Now it wont spray cleaner onto the carpet...So basically i have been wasting my time cleaning carpets...I have tried everything and i have had the pro-heat for 1 yr and 1 month...I paid alot for it and feel like i have wasted my money....

I bought this unit to replace a 10 year old Hoover. I am very disappointed with this unit. Not even six months after initial purchase it was in an authorized rep in my area. They told me that I would need to use distilled water periodically to keep it spraying. It seems to get clogged up without distilled water. The unit will work one hour and the next it won't spray water at all. I never had any problems with my Hoover. I always clean my unit after each use. I took it out today to do two rooms. One room got done without soap, as the only way the unit would spray water was on the water only setting. The other room the water would not spray at all. I attempted all settings. I'm sure my warranty is up on this thing (about 2 years old now). I don't want to take it to the shop again because this time it would be out of my pocket. This unit has caused way too much aggravation!

I forgot to turn it to soap, and it cleaned the carpet anyway. Looks like plain hot water does wonders.
But there is only one thing I didn't like, which was when you cut the machine off, it sits there leaking a few drops of nasty water back down on the rug.
I solved that problem by parking the front of the machine on a big shallow baking pan, then when I needed to move the machine to another cleaning area, I simply looped a bungie cord over the nose of the machine, which kept the pan held in place on the bottom.
No more dirty water droplets along the way.
Maybe Bissell can come up with some sort of plastic flip down tray for that in the future.

Have only used unit a few times and I can not get it to spray consistently. Have called and gone through all Bissells checks and still no spray. Not happy with this unit and would not recommend.

I've had H*****r AND K*****e cleaners, and have rented R** D***** in the past. Those ALL pale in comparison.
This cleaner is absolutely the best. I've used it on high traffic areas, and on older stains (pre-treated#, and it simply does the job that it is supposed to do.
I don't believe that I'll ever buy another brand, ever!
With the proper maintenance #clean-out after each use), it has proved to be dependable and user-friendly.

I used to have a Hoover and hated it, this is my first ProHeat Bissell and I like it so much better, easier to use, no problems cleaning which does a terrific job. Glad I got it.

From my own experience combined with the other reviewers here, this system obviously has a fatal design flaw which allows the rug cleaner to become clogged at the heating source by simple tap water. When I pay a few hundred dollars for something I don't expect it to be so sensitive, I paid a few hundred for a Dyson vacuum and got what I paid for....a quality machine that has never let me down.
Big disappointment & totally unacceptable for a rug cleaner of this price range. At least I got ten cleanings out of it, some reviewers here got even less. Forced to give it one star, it doesn't even deserve that.

When it works, it's great. Poorly engineered so it requires lots of maintenace and you have to be careful that everything is perfect or it will not work. Must use distilled water (good grief), must clean brushes after every use (and they are not easy to clean), must run water through the system to clear fluid so it doesn't get stopped up (as often), not all parts are available for replacement (broke the seal between the upper tank in the handle and the lower tank so I Gerry rigged it with a screw and washer to reattach). Very poor tolerances in the engineering. They should discontinue this product.

This is my 2nd Bissell Proheat. I had the 1st one for 6 years when it started acting up. My husband surprised me with this one and I spent 3 days cleaning all carpets in our 2500sf house. The carpets look brand new! (They're 5 years old, 2 dogs & 3 cats in the desert) He talked about buying another brand and I said don't bother. It's fantastic!!!

I have always loved my Proheat 2X and with small dogs use it often. But suddenly it has stopped spraying the cleaning solution. I am so disappointed because as a single mom this is a large purchase for me. I expected this machine to last alot longer than 10 uses in a year and a half. Bissell I know you can do this better---I want to love your product again!!!!!

I bought my cleaner several years ago when we put in our new carpet. I cleaned houses for years when I was younger and used nearly every vacuum and cleaner known to man. Bissell is by far the best brand of cleaning machines I have ever used. I also have a bissell vacuum in my house and my camper. Taking proper care of your machines is the key to their lifetime. No matter what items you buy in your lifetime, whether its a vacuum, washer or vehicle, there is always going to be the chance of something needing to be returned to be replaced because of a defect. Keep your receipts, read your directions entirely and follow them. The only broken things on my machine are from others borrowing it and not taking care of it properly. I will be replacing my parts and keeping it at home from now on to make sure it is taken care of. The only thing this thing can't do is run itself.

This is my second bissel carpet shampooer it stopped spraying water so I ordered a part and it still is not working. I sent a message to bissel asking how to fix this and never got a reply.

I upgraded to this model when my smaller model quit sucking. I've used this model maybe a handful of times and again, it is not sucking. The suction from the motor is working fine it seems, but out of 1 gallon of water, it only picks up about 1/4 cup. The rest of the dirty water is left on my floor. I don't have my receipt, so of course I am left with yet another piece of junk. It may be cheaper just to rent a cleaner than going this route again.

Works well on carpet but the detergent/water resevoir is way to small. You have to fill it for every room you do.

have used this machine for over a year. very easy to use, cleans carpets, pulls up dirty, cat hair and other items dropped by 2 grandchildren and 2 cats. adding cleaning solution to container and adding the hot water well thought out. dumping dirty water a breese as well as adding the new water to the bladder simple. only con: must watch and not bump the unit as you clean. I cracked a piece of plastic on the bottom of the unit on first use. and for a very large house it will take some time to clean all of the area.

Used it only like 5 times and it stop spraying solution. The machine worked awsome the first 5 times then it doesn't work anymore. The machine does spray anymore, I seen a lot people with the same compliant and they said that is the heater causes the solution and water minerals to get stock in the hoses inside. I tried to open it and it is very hard to reach the coile. Don't waste you money try Hoover or another brand.

I have a dog inside & children so we tend to have spills along with dirt. I have a Kirby that I've had for 15 years and I hate the performance of that machine so I bought the steam cleaner, and I LOVE IT!!! I've had my Bissell less than a year I clean the carpets, sofa, back of my SUV, I'm sooo pleased with power & the cleaning performance. NOW LET ME comment the Bissell company itself. My machine stopped working, we never could figure out what the problem was over the phone with the technician, BUT Bissell lived up to its warranty and sent me a Brand New Carpet cleaner within a week along with a postage paid label to send the broke one back to them. I'm a very please and Happy customer

Purchased the Proheat 2X after reading reviews about it. When used for the first time I was more than surprised by the way it cleaned the carpet and how quickly the carpet dried as well. We have a puppy and a teenager who friends are always at the house.So there were many stains in the carpet. All came out in one use. The next job was cleaning the inside of our cars. Man what a super job it did getting mud stains out. Great cleaning unit to have around.

This product worked very good twice then stopped spraying cleaner. I looked on the internet for possible solution and found many other people were having the same problem. We tried several "fixes" recomended by Bissell. Nothing worked. I bought parts still no luck. I then decided if I was going to have to try to repair this cleaner every two or three times I use it I would go back to a Hoover I previously had used for 7-8 years with no problems. I would recommend anyone that was going to purchase a cleaner to buy a Hoover or any thing other than a Bissell.

I used this on carpet cleaned only a week prior with an old machine. The additional dirt and cat hair picked-up was amazing. Having the cleaning solution in a seperate container is a real solution saver. I have 3 cats and 2 teenage kids. 2 cat-allergic friends visited and, for the first time ever, they didn't need Benedryl- even though the kids slept on the newly cleaned carpet! I highly recommend this machine.

This carpet cleaner is GREAT!! Bought it almost a month ago, have used it 3 times. Did great job on carpets and in the van I drive. Also used on upholstery. Everything looks and smells so clean. And, I don't have to worry if dog is into something cause, he's right there barking at machine...wears him out!!! Who could ask for more. I will recommend this machine to others. Bissell PROHEAT 2X is one of the BEST!! Thank you Bissell.

The Bissell ProHeat 2X was easy to assemble, easy to use and did a fabulous job of deep cleaning! We used to have a company clean our carpets occasionally, we rented carpet cleaners from various places, but we were AMAZED at how clean the Bissell ProHeat 2X got our carpet. It picked up pet hairs that weren't visible to the human eye and this was after we vaccuumed before using the carpet cleaner. Not only did the machine do an outstanding job, but it's easy to use and cleanup afterwards! We highly recommend it!

I have to say BRavo. I had two carpet companys come out and give me estimates on cleaning my carpets and I was just blown away at how much it was going to cost. So I went to the store bought the Bissell and Bissell Shampoo and started cleaning my carpets. I have to say I was amazed at how clean it got my carpets and so is everyone who comes over. You see I was away for a year and a half helping my daughter and the whole soccer team practically lived here with my husband and son (ha Ha), so you could imagine. I also love the scent thats an added bonus, yes I had to do the work myself, but a little exercise never killer anyone and it really was'nt hard at all.

I purchased this machine last year because I had always rented one and I would always have to get it back by a certain day or time. I got tired of doing that. I shopped around to see what all the features were of other brands and decided to buy this one on my sister's recommendation. I have only used it in two RV campers but love the job it did in both of them. I recently purchased the turbo-brush and am looking forward to using it. I am sure I will be just as happy with that as with the rest of the machine. I want to do all of the carpeting in my house this year.

I am so impressed with the cleaning job this machine does. I used the upholstery attachment on some very badly soiled chairs, that i thought were beyond hope, and it was just amazing. Looked like new again.
I bought the attachment for hard floor but haven't tried it yet. I am sure that it'll be great.
Carpet looks like new again too.
I really like the rinse function as well, and the carpets dry quickly. In other words "love it".

I have been using a professional to clean the commercial carpet in my office but when his phone # was disconnected, I decided to try it myself and found the ProHeat 2x at WM. It took a bit to learn how to use it (read the reviews and troubleshooting on the website before you use it) but once I got over that hump, the process went very well and the results are very good.
The machine was easy to maneuver and I love the 1 stop at the sink to dump and refill. I read about clear rinsing the machine out after use and have done that.
Truthfully, the machine pays for itself after 1use - I am very satisfied.

This cleans my carpet better than any other cleaner I've had. I had another brand and it would twist and turn if you didn't hold it steady. The ProHeat is easy to push and easy to clean. You can see how much dirt there is when you see how dirty the water intake gets. I highly recommend. I can't wait to try the floor attachment for my kitchen.
