This is the second Bisselll vacuum we have owned. When loved our old vacuum so Bisselll was our first choice when we needed to upgrade. Our biggest cleaning concerns are dog hair and stairs. This model seemed like the perfect fit.
I'm giving the vacuum 3 stars because it does have a lot of suction power and the lift off feature seems to work well. However, if I were to do it again I would not have purchased this vacuum.
First of all the upright feature is incredibly difficult to push on medium pile carpet. When we tested it out in the store it was on short industrial carpet and tile. Using at home has been a completely different experience.
Secondly, the furniture pet brush attachment clogged on the second use. I had to take it apart and pick the dog hair out of the gears. I realize it will need to be occasionally cleaned, but needing to be cleaned every time is ridiculous.
One of the feature unique to this model was the bendable hose attachment. As far as I can tell its useless. It doesn't really work well with any of the other attachments. I would much rather have a longer flexible hose.
Finally, while the lift off feature is great there is no good attachment for cleaning carpeted stairs. In order to properly clean the stairs I need a small brush attachment, not a solid surface attachment or crevice tool.
Overall it's an ok vacuum. Not the upgrade we were hoping for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KarinInMD Great vacuum for home with multiple pets - I have 5 dogs
Before using this vacuum the first time, I ran my Oreck vacuum to see if the new one picks up more dirt. Unbelievable how much dirt and dog hair ended up in the container from just vacuuming one room. I emptied the container before proceeding to another room. I have mostly hardwood floors an almost room-size heavy area rugs. Unreal how much more dirt and hair I was able to get out of my rugs with the Bissell vacuum. Love the results. Vacuum is easy to handle, a little more cumbersome on the stairs, otherwise not too bad. I couldn't believe how nicely I was able to use it in my car. I take my 5 dogs to the park each day and my carpets and seats had hair imbedded. Between the pet hair eraser tool, the crevice tool and the pet hair fabric tool I was able to get all the dog hair out of the car for the first time in 3 years. Even the heavy duty vacuums at the car wash couldn't suck the imbedded hair out of the seats and carpet. I am extremely pleased with the results. The only complain I have is that the hose is very tight and when I use the tools the container gets knocked over. Not sure if that will settle with time, but otherwise, the results are worth it. I would highly recommend this vacuum to anyone with pets. I was between giving 4 and 5 stars, but since I have such great end results I gave this vacuum 5 stars.

Was stuck between this one and the power premiere. Power premiere had a better selling feature: steam cleaning. Also there was no video to compare this one. My gf basically picked the one that had a video and that pretty much over rules my logic that the other one was better anyway. This one could have been just as good but alas...no video. Meh. Still bought a bissell cus they rock.
