Rated 4 out of 5 by Audiolad YOU MUST TAKE CARE OF THE PARTS
I'm trying to be as honest as I can to rate this vacuum because I also own a new Shark with similar tools. I had the problems some have mentioned (threw the belt on wool carpets). Bissell was good to replace an earlier model 2763 with the 27633 because mine was new.
To the obvious: You must empty the canister often because it pulls so much dirt, hair and fibers. I empty twice on each floor whereas my old electrolux would go for weeks on one bag (not the same cleaning power). Each time I use the vacuum I cut the hair/carpet fibers wrapped around my brushes. This must be done with any brand. The vacuums are just better than any of the old models. Comparison with the shark: Same price/same performance except I had to replace the shark turbo hair brush because the first did not work, and the bissell has a bit more suction power. So you see, this is buyer beware. If you are lazy, don't buy one of these new uprights because they suck everything out of your carpets.

I ordered this direct on black Friday and was delivered yesterday. Assembly was pretty straight forward with no tools needed. I wanted to give it a quick try so I thought I would do a small spot to see how it worked. To say it works well is an understatement. I could not believe how much this thing sucks up! I had a D### D#### brand and there is no comparison on how much more dirt this vacuum picks up. After the test I just had to do the whole house, plush and berber carpet and also hardwood. It is a good thing the dirt canister is easy to dump because it was dumped quite a few times. The ability to lift off the canister is also a plus, it makes vacuuming the carpeted stairs much easier.
A couple things which could be improved, All of the tools are not onboard, the cord is somewhat stiff but it should get better with more use and the hose could be longer. Despite these shortcomings I would definitely buy this again.

This is the most expensive boat anchor I have ever had. Bought it at Lowes after comparing it with Shark, Hoover, etc. Didn't try to run it or lift it--just read the specs and bought it. Got it home and starting using it. Extremely heavy, extremely difficult to push and pull on the carpet, the cord is as stiff as a poker and it doesn't clean any better than the Shark we owned for eight years. Shark is much easier to use. Vacuuming a couple of rooms is a real workout.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Grandpa Joe Excellent vacuum cleaner.
I am really enjoying my new Bissell PowerGlide Premiere Pet vacuum cleaner with Lift-Off Technology. I am having an easier time getting at the hard to reach areas. I could not do that with my old vacuum cleaner & I love that this vacuum cleaner is bagless & it's easy to clean & maintain. It was expensive, but worth it. Thanks again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Tom2105 My Mom was right-stick with Hoover
Purchased this vaccuum on the internet-came with a carpet spot cleaner and was advertised to pick up pet hair. Worked well for about 6 months-then the brush stopped running. Belt was fine-brush motor went out. Took it to a repair center-still waiting for parts-it's been 3 weeks. Luckily we hung onto our old HOOVER upright in the meantime. Called the repair center-still no parts. Took it back and found the brush motor online and put it in myself. The brush works now but the stupid belt keeps coming off. Enough of this BISSELL junk, my wife is out buying a HOOVER.

Rated 3 out of 5 by KP 55 It picks up the dirt !
I had my old vacuum for so long it was hard to get used to a new one. I made this choice because the other lift-off did not carry tools on board and that was important because I don't have a closet. However this model does'nt carry all the tools either. I also wish there was a small tool for the steps. I have 3 cats and the pet tools are great. One thing I noticed about using the tools is that the vacuum falls over when you pull the wand. Also tools from other vacuums do not fit. I have many other tools and was very disappointed.
I do like the swivel motion and the smaller head fits between my dining room chairs. The dirt cup is smaller than my last one so I have to empty more.
All in all it does what its supposed to do pick up the dirt. I just have to get used to its functions.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Ticked Off in California Stopped Working!!!!
I have had my vacuum cleaner for only two weeks and already the belt broke on it. I can't believe that something so new would already be broken. If they don't replace the belt for free I am going to return the vacuum to target and never purchase a Bissell again. Poor workmanship will never give me the desire to purchase their products again. I will change my review if they do the right thing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jamie & Joe Great for Hardwood Floors and PETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We had just had our hardwood floors redone when we needed a new vacuum. Knowing that it is pointless to sweep hardwood floors because the dust and hair just goes up and right back down onto floors, I always vacuum them. I picked this vacuum because it does multiple types of flooring and it is for pets. We have 4 dogs that are heavy shedders! I vacuum our floors multiple times throughout the day. This vacuum is the best vacuum I have ever owned! I especially love the filter, it keeps your vacuum from smelling like dog while making your house smell fresh! I would highly recommend it for anyone with pets and hardwood or any type of bare floors! The only thing I would change is to include the clips that hold the 3 extra attachments with the vacuum instead of having to buy them. Other than that, it is a Wonderful Vacuum!!!!
