had owned 2 Bissell's before, wore the first one out and the second was good except it had an open dump container and with pet hair it would let it fly out when dumping...so I wanted a sealed container that would hold the pet hair till I opened the bottom dump latch. So it was between this PowerGlide or a Shark Navigator vacuum.. and I had the Shark in my hands after about 2hrs studying the features... but I knew how our last Bissell's performed and went back and picked this PowerGlide up instead.. besides (Bissell... We mean Clean!)... and got it home and wow what a fantastic vac.. and watched some youtube video's and saw just how well it did against the very Shark vacuum I was looking at... this Bissell beat it hands down. Keep up the great work on the vacuums.

I purchased this product because I have two cats that stay at home, and I needed a good vacuum to help get rid of the hair.
The suction is good, quite powerful but the vacuum itself is a bit hard to use. The hose is very rigid, and I actually have to lift the lift off part of the vacuum very high to reach higher places.
Also, after using this product since June 2014, I just put the lift off part back in it's socket, and now it won't suck from the bottom anymore. I'm stuck with only the hose sucking in air.
Is there something I can do about this?
And finally, I do have to clean up the brushes at the bottom after pretty much every use otherwise it all gets tangled. (mostly because of my long hair that ends up on the floor somehow)
It's not a bad product, but it's not as good as I had expected.

My Husband got me this sweeper for Christmas. At first i was upset cuz my fist thought Am i not cleaning the house good enough? Then I gave the sweeper a try and OMG! It turns out my old sweeper was not picking up any thing i think. One pass thru the living room and the tank was full of gross grey matter. It was disgusting. It just goes to show, my hubby knows best! The best present i have ever gotten. Thanks honey!

This is my second Bissell pet vacuum and couldn't be happier. Gets out dirt and hair when you think your carpets are clean. Love the lift off feature for my carpeted stairs. Like not having to buy bags. Recommend Bissell for anyone who has pets.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Juanita Easy to use but missing items
It works really well and is very easy to empty or use on stairs. BUT it really needs an upholstery brush for furniture or dusting. The turbo brush is not the right brush for dusting, I need a dusting brush for baseboards, shelves, etc. Also it needs an extension wand b/c the twist 'n snap hose is too short for reaching up to ceiling cobwebs. Also, not as good on wood floor as I was told.
This wasn't the right item for me but I'm stuck with it now. I would only recommend it if you really need to suck up LOTS of dog hair and only have carpets.

The hose keep coming out of the slot it is suppose to go in. I push it in very hard and it continually comes out. I not recommend this to anyone!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by bob123456 Very good suction, intuitive design.
Excellent suction. The Brush is smaller than on some other vacs but the suction hole is centered, so you get a lot of concentrated power. The Lift off is neat, of course.
When my Dyson (which wasn't picking up anything even after a thorough dis-assembly and cleaning of the unit) broke when I stepped on the vacuum to recline it, I got this vacuum. I was wary of the low price but was surprised that it blew the Dyson(I had one of the older models, but still) out of the water. Some CONS though: the lid on the dust bin is rather flimsy, so be careful with it and make sure that the center peace is inserted property before slamming it shut. The dust bin is tiny! So if you let your place go and have multiple pets, you'll be emptying it A LOT. Other than that, very impressed with the suction. It picked up a ton of cat hair my old expensive Dyson couldn't.

You will be disgusted with how much dirt it pulls up from your copy on your first use. This vacuum cleaner is definitely worth the money spent, just keep your filters clean and you will be good to go. I've had this vacuum for 3 months and it has not yet lost any suction!
