this is a inexpensive vacuum that works great. We have a lot of dogs and a few cats and we use this every day. Picks up all the dog and cat hair. The only reason I did not give it a 5 is because after about a year the wheels start to bend in and get stuck in the wheel well and makes it hard to push. This is a design flaw. The wheel pins need to be reinforced. With that being said customer service has always honored the warranty and sends out a new lower unit free of charge.

do not waste your money if you are looking for something to pick up pet hair on a hard floor. The exhaust is in the front and blows really hard! as soon as you get close to a wall or under a coffee table the air coming out blows the hair everywhere!!! so instead of cleaning up the hair i cannot stand i just blew it all over the house!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by DelNorte A Great Buy!
I purchased this vacuum with the hope that it would be everything I needed so I didn't have to purchase a vacuum 10 times more expensive that everyone said I just had to have. I'm SO glad I bought this first! It is small, lightweight, and does a wonderful job on my floors. We have all tile floors with deep grout and three large, mud-tracking dogs--including a super hairy German shepherd--and this vacuum grabs everything my house throws at it. I'm so happy I bought it.
If I were nitpicking, I would say it needs a longer cord and a hand tool, but it's great even without those.
I've had this vacuum a month and love it. My husband is probably sick of me saying how happy I am I bought it, but it really does make my life easier. If you're looking for a great, affordable vacuum for hard floors and lots of pets, this one is for you!

I researched bare floor vacuums for weeks before deciding on this little guy. I've been impressed with it's ability to maneuver around all the obstacles on my first floor - bar stools, tables, plant, rugs, etc. I haven't had any issues with it spitting up and debris or not picking it up at all. I have a friend who said hers won't pick up pine needles that her dog drags in, but I don't have any pine trees in my yard so I can't confirm. This little guy has effectively and efficiently picked up everything from food crumbs after dinner parties to dog hair and leaves left behind from my fern. I have no complaints!

Rated 1 out of 5 by MAUCLA Stopped Working after a few months
This product worked great until it stopped working. We don't have pets but bought this for our wood floors. It was very flexible and cleaned in hard-to-reach areas with its great design but after a few months its suction power reduced to 0; it couldn't pick up anything. We bought another vacuum to replace it.

This vacuum worked great for a month, picked up big clumps of dog hair and whatever other mess was on the floor. Then about after a month of use, twice a week, it is over heating and not sucking up anything. Wish it's longevity was better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CrazyDogLadyintheA Two dogs and one long haired human
First, I have a small, 900 sq/ft condo with hardwood floors so I appreciate how light and how little space this vacuum takes up. I also have very long hair, and two dogs. One of my dogs is a beagle with short/coarse hair and the other is a Japanese Chin, with long and silky hair . This vacuum not only picks up every last strand, but also has no brushes, so I don't have to worry about untangling my hair from it (eww). My only complaint is that it is just for floors, but I guess that's why there are handheld vacuums. Oh! Another great thing is that Bissell donates money to shelter dog programs! Rescued animals are the best!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Desalan Wrong spot for the air to blow out.......
I like my vacuum, it picks up the dog hair on my floors, and vacuums all my throw rugs without sucking them into the vacuum. What I don't like is that the air that blows out of the vacuum blows the hair that is on the sofa and chars. The first time I used it our dog was on her living room chair and the air blow right in her face. Since the dogs chairs are covered with sheets it blows the sheets and make the dust and hair flying :(
