BISSELL Pet Foundation Acts to Aid Rescue of 350 dogs from One Michigan Home
Posted on April 13, 2012
West Michigan has pulled together to aid in the rescue of more than 350 dogs from Allegan County. The mostly Shih Tzu and Pomeranian mixes, with a few Maltese and Yorkshire Terriers, were seized from one home.
The BISSELL Pet Foundation acted quickly to provide a check for $10,000 to help cover medical expenses that aren’t easily donated such as heartworm tests, vaccines, dental work, microchipping, spay/neuter services and routine care.
We extend our thanks to the many volunteers spending countless hours helping the Allegan County Animal Shelter, the Wishbone Pet Rescue and the many dogs in need! To learn more about this outreach and keep abreast of other West Michigan pet news, visit Press Unleashed.
If you would like to help, contact the Allegan County Animal Shelter at 269-686-5112. They are in need of monetary donations, gas cards and small collars. To adopt one of the rescued dogs visit: www.petfinder.com/shelters/MI299.html.
