Essie is our spirited German Shepherd-Basenji rescue dog that we adopted almost 2 years ago from Petropolis Inc., an all-volunteer, non-profit, foster home-based, animal adoption organization based out of Round Lake, IL. She brings joy and laughter to our lives every day -- and makes sure we take frequent trips to the park. If Essie wins, she would love to help her friends at Petropolis, who took good care of her until we came into her life.
