ive recently went to my closet best buy and bought this vacuum in 2011. when all the parts were screwed in and ready to go i started vacuum. i was shocked about how well it did. i am so impressed with this vacuum and im never buying others brands again. bissell is all the vacuums i will have.

We have a German Shepherd and long haired cat at our house. We got this vacuum and I was amazed at the suction. The handheld piece for furniture I also used on the stair carpeting. It was amazing! However, after 3 months the handheld piece would barely rotate and the suction was next to nothing. I decided to read the book (didn't think I would have to when it came to a vacuum cleaner). I AM SO GLAD I DID! . When you remove the part to empty the dirt, there is a piece above that you can unscrew. We took ours out and the holes were all plugged. We cleaned that all off and the vacuum was back to brand new. I have never seen another vacuum like this where you could get into the inner workings to completely clean it out. Amazing Bissell! Thank you! Now that we know where this part is we clean that out every other time we vacuum!

We just received our vacuum and used it once and so far it works well at picking up my dogs hair which is very long even for a Golden Retriever mix. It also has very good suction for an upright. It has a heavy/solid feel to it which I wanted. This is our first bagless vac and the dirt cup is easy to deal with. I also just ordered the ShedAway Pet Grooming attachment with a built-in curry comb to deal with his hair so we will see how that helps.

This pet vacuum is unbelievable, The rug I vacuumed was 5'x8' and only 2 weeks old and had just been vacuumed with my old vacuum cleaner, would you believe I had to empty the new pet vacuum 3 times before I was done. THANK YOU FOR SUCH A GREAT VACUUM.

I've had my lift-off for about 6 months. I'm very happy with the strength of the suction and the ease of cleaning. I also love that if I vacuum up an important toy, I can get it back without sifting through a vacuum bag! The lift-off capability is the best! I purchased the bare floor tool, and it's so easy to carry the canister around as I vacuum all of my bare floors.
The things that keep this vacuum from being 5 stars are the pet turbo brush and the length of the extension wand. The turbo brush only spins if there is absolutely no reduction in suction. So once some of the dog hair gets onto the filter, it doesn't operate anymore. I think the company would have been better off including the pet contour tool instead. The extension wand is too short when used with the bare floor attachment. I am only five foot seven, but I have to either bend forward or hold the wand by the hose at very top to walk comfortably and vacuum my bare floors. Despite these inconveniences, I would recommend this vacuum. The lift-off is very versatile and gets my carpets and bare floors very clean!

Bissell vaccums have good suction. I have an old one and the suction still works. I decided to buy this one because of the new feature "Lift-Off" which is very handy for vaccuming my car.
Dog hair in the carpet is not a problem. You can see how much dog hair is picked up by the vac, hair that you can't even see on the carpet. This vac is perfect for all our needs.

I have had this sweeper for about 2 years. It has been great and pick up everything. Only now it is starting to blow dirt everywhere. I have cleaned it all out and cleaned all filters. However it still blows out the back very bad. I can see the latch door for the back filter actually pulling apart some.

Used this new vacum right behind our other more expensive vacum and picked up so much stuff from the carpet It leaves us wondering how the other vacum could miss so much. We thought we had done a very good job of vacuming with our old vacum, so we ran it over the carpet sseveral times. Never again will we think just because it has a name that is supposed to be top of the line and expensive to be good. This Bissell put it to shame. From now on if it doesn't say Bissell, we won't buy it.

This Vacuum has great performance, and is easy to operate. It is our second one in less that 6 months. I have two large dogs and the vacuum keeps my floors and couches clean. Had an opportunity to clean my vehicle the other day, and it worked great.

We bought this vacuum about 2 years ago for our house cleaner. She is so sweet, never complained. Unfortunately now we do not have her any longer I have to vacuum. Not only is it heavy but there is so much dirt, dust and hair after vacuuming, it just seems to blow everywhere. Also, the attachment for stairs and furniture does not have any suctions and the roller does not roll :(

I purchased this vacuum about 2 years ago and within 2 months it gave off a burning odor. Here the roll brush had frozen and would NOT rotate. My husband was able to fix it eventually. The top hook that holds the cord has also broken. The most recent thing that broke was the internal clip or latch that releases the handle so that the vacuum will become engaged rather than in the upright position. It has broken and now the vacuum easily tips over. I do regret purchasing this vacuum. It seems cheaply made. However, if you're looking for sucking power, it does suck up well.

I have always bought cheaper vacuums but my parents bought me this one for Christmas a few years ago because we got a yellow lab. This vacuum is my life saver and still works as good as I got it almost 2 years ago! I was so impressed with it that my parents and my in-laws each went out and bought the exact same one because they both have a yellow lab too. This vacuum was way above my expectations. I just ordered a Bissell Carpet Cleaner for Pets and I can't wait to get it because I am sure the quality will be just what I expect.

I've had my vacuum for over 7 months and have been extremely happy with it, especially since I have 2 dogs. However, about a month ago, my cleaner has been making some very weird and loud noises. The cleaner sounds like it's about to explode. The sound is really beginning to worry me. I've cleaned the filters and everything. Hasn't helped. I just don't know what to do. This may just be an isolated incident, but it's annoying to know that I haven't gotten my money's worth.

Just got my new vac...It picks up an enormous amount of hair!! I have to pull the hair from around the yellow roller brush each time. (which is a pain). I like the design and the tools are great. It is quite heavy, but maybe i'm just weak!

The vac has good suction, but it works like a dog hair magnet, so I have to clean the front and the canister when I am done. As well the hair gets twisted in the very top around the yellow section instead of staying in the tank.
It is an average vac.

i have had my vacuum for a couple of years works great until i tried to clean the bar and when i put it back together there is a loud grinding noise other than that like the vacuum alot and the lift off feature is very useful

It really picks up the dirt, hair, and loose carpet fibers. Perhaps I should have looked at the description more closely, but I really wish it had a stair cleaning attachment rather than the pet hair gizmo. I bought it primarily for the carpeted stairs leading to our basement (the Lift-Off part is great for that,) but upon assembly I discovered nothing for the stairs. IF I had known that, I would have ordered it when I had the 10% discount and free shipping package. Oh, well ....

Its great at picking stuff up, but it sure does not last long! Mine i got less then 3 years ago at Target just went out on me! Wont even turn on.. Got a new one (different model) ordered, wish i could get a refund or something. Paid to much for it to go out on me.

We bought our Bissell 3 months ago. We owned a major brand for years, and intended to stick with that brand, but when we got to the store we found this vacuum sturdier and more "user friendly" than any of the other brands! I had never used a bagless vacuum, and was concerned about the dust, but that hasn't been a problem at all. The tools are incredibly easy to use and replace, as is the canister. I love the pet hair tool. It is so powerfull it gets all the stubborn hair off my cat "tree" and I also use it as a mini-brush for hard to reach places. The buttons are even in the perfect place! My house is truly cleaner because using this machine and all its tools is so easy! The only complaint I have is that the two brush tools tend to fall off easily, but this is such a great machine it doesn't bother me. The machine is a little heavier than the competitors, but I don't mind because it feels like it is built to last more than a year, and it is so powerful it is somewhat self propelled, making it easier to push. Yep, I love this vacuum.

I had a basic Bissell upright for years. It finally gave out, and I went shopping. I tried a couple other brands, but I much prefer Bissell. My other Bissell was very basic. Then I bought the Lift-Off Multi Cyclonic Pet Vacuum, and the second I turned it on, I was amazed. It pulled me instead of me pushing it. I love everything about it. It glides beautifully, so easy to clean, and I like seeing all it is picking up. And it has just the right weight. I feel like it's substantial. It's excellent with my shag carpeting. The lift-off unit is wonderful. It really is like two vacuums in one. The pet attachment picks up everything, and it's totally portable. And everything fits into place so easily yet so securely. I'm very happy with it. And, I love the candy apple red color. It's a 'stand-out.'

pros:
- not very heavy
- lift off feature is nice to haul but might be better with the shoulder strap so it does not tip over, do not understand why this is not included for safety (has to be purchased separately)
- great at removing pet hair and seems good at picking up the dirt the animals bring in too
- has lots of parts which can be removed and cleaned, this is great to help any pet smell buildup, love this feature
- price vs utility is great!
- love the ability to turn off the brush for hard floors, adjustable height brush is nice
cons:
- the hose attaches at the top of machine so that when you use it for attachments, it tips over very easily... does the same when you use the lift off portion.
- does not hold very much debris in the 'bin' and it fills up towards the back so that you can not tell how full it is to dump

I got my first Bissell lift-off almost 10 years ago. Just last year I had to replace the belt due to too much hair build up. We got a cocker spaniel puppy in March and he shed very little. Decided to buy this pet vacuum since the one I have at home isn't a pet one. We got it within a week of ordering. It was just as easy as my other one to put together, has just one extra attachment then the old one I have, and has so much sucking power. I vacuumed with my old one a day before we got this one. Immediately I put this one together and vacuumed. I was shocked by how much my old vacuum missed and this one picked up! I still have my old one, we got rid of the off brand we used at work and now use my old one. I have never been disappointed with Bissell and will continue to buy their vacuums. You get the same, if not better quality and longevity of a vacuum as you would if you spent upwards of $600 on a different brand. Bissell is by far my vacuum of choice and will always be. If my old one is still going after 10 years and only having to replace a belt, I can only imagine how long this one will last!!!

I have bought two life-off vacuum, but both of them can not work well after one year. After one year, they have a same problem that they would auto shut down when I used about three minutes, even though I replaced filters.

I haven't had this vacuum for even a year and already the post-motor filter doesn't work.Everytime i vacuum the dust blows out from the back all over.The cup doesn't fit tight either so dirt blows up all over the vacuum into the motor.Very disappointed in this product for what it cost it should work better.

My husband found this vacuum in some ones trash when walking the dog.He knew I needed one because my vacuum( bit the dust) What a lucky find.It was very dirty so I cleaned and checked every thing,ran like a dream,why some one would throw this vacuum in the trash i never know..it works so great and the things it does is like a dream.It makes my old vacuum,witch cost ....$2,000 look sick...thank god it broke. the lord gave me a wonderful find!!!! It also cleans better than any vacuum i ever had........thank you for this wonderful gift!!!

We've had a Bissell model 3760 (very similar to the pet vacuum you show here) for about two years or so. We vacuum every week, sometimes twice a week, and own a black lab (heavy shedder) and a pomeranian. We have a mix of low pile carpet, area rugs, and laminate floors over about 1500 square feet of home. We clean the dirt cup every time and the filters as needed.
The reason I do not give the vacuum five stars is that we are pretty easy on our machines, and it is starting to come apart at the plastic join up near the "grab and go" button - not on the canister body, but near where the "power paw" sits on the handle. Additionally, I believe the stretchy suction tool could be more robust... ours is rather kinked and we have been very easy with it.
Overall I think we will be repurchasing this product as we are happy with the price, power, features, etc. A big bonus is not having to purchase bags, especially with the amount of dog hair we vacuum up every week!
Please consider the upgrades as mentioned. Thank you.
