I just got my new Lift -Off multi pet vacuum yesterday and could not wait to get it out of the box. I was ready to have problems putting it together from some of the reviews I read but that was not the case. Really didn't even have to look at the manuel. Two screws and everything else just clicks into place. The first thing I did was my hardwood floors and then took off the canister and did my carpeted stairs. What a pleasure. My old canister vacuum did not have a stair attachment, the cord was not long enough as my stair case is a U shape with two landings. I would have to do them in sections. First the top, plugged in upstairs and then carry everything down and re-plug in downstairs and work my way back up. Hated the stairs. Now with my new vacuum the cord is long enough that I can vacuum part of the hall on the second floor. My stairs will be vacuum much more now. Also love having all the tools on board. My last canister I had to change the hose from carpet to hard surface also had to go and get attachments when I needed them. If it's that much work your not always going to do the best job. The Crevice tool is long and narrow which is great for getting into the lint trap in the dryer. Also like the telescoping extension wand, make it whatever size you need. So looking forward to vacuum everything.
The other nice feature is the dirt that I got up was the real fine stuff, that you see under your carpet when you are replacing it. The suction is great! Love my Vac!

I have used my vacuum 3 times since I have owned it. I live in an apartment and own 3 Boston Terriers. I have an old carpet and it looks almost brand new. I never knew how much they shed until using this machine..and the amount of dirt this vacuum sucks up is amazing!! The Turbo Eraser is great too, it took out ground-in spots with ease. Great product Bissell. I would highly recommend this vacuum to people I know that have pets.

This vacuum worked great for about a year until I had to keep replacing the roller brush. It doesn't handle a lot of hair very well and after every vacuum I have to take a part to clean out the roller brush from hair build-up. I purchased this product specifically since we have 2 long haired dogs. I had the vacuum a year then had to replace the roller brush which was fine. However two months later it broke again. It appears that so much hair gets caught up in the brush that it overheats and stops the brush from rolling. I've called customer service and they aren't much help since it's not a warrantied item. However, replacing the roller brush every month or two at $20 a shot is a bit ridiculous. I won't ever buy one of these again. Not worth the hassle or money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by MHunt Hand wand does not work well or not at all
I have two dogs who shed a lot. I like the vacuum but the TurboBrush Tool does not work. It is powered by suction and the suction is going down. And the tool allows hair to get in the belt, clogs it, and stops it from working. I have to take it apart every use and then am only able to get two stairs completed before I have to open it again. So doing stairs and small places no longer works. Does this Tool have a recall or a replacement that will not allow hair to get in the belt.

I absolutely can't stand pet hair and dirt. I have a large dog and multiple cats and I am a very satisfied new owner of this vacuum! Absolutely the best vacuum I have ever owned, beats the rainbow and kirby vacs. Its kicks pet hair in the butt! I vacuum everyday and this Vac picked up dirt that all the others left behind. I have the spot bot and the little pet vac too, love them all. Awesome Vac Bissell!!!!!! Awesome performance and easy to use. Bissell... take a bow!

At first I loved this vacuum because of the lift-off feature, however now 2 years later, it's the feature that I hate. To empty the container you pull out the lower half, and then all the dirt and pet dander falls from the top and makes a huge mess. The motor died on the carpet pet tool attachment after 6 months and the vacuum has lost most of it's suction power. I have to go back over the carpets 2-3 times and there is still dog hair that it doesn't pick up

Rated 2 out of 5 by StephTech Not made for pet hair on wood floors.
I purchased this vacuum 5 months ago and it works okay but there are some design features I don't like and don't work well. First off, they designed this vacuum so you can vacuum a hard wood floor using it the regular way instead of using the attachments. What they don't understand is no vacuum will work well to pick up pet hair using it in normal mode. Not much hair would get picked up so using the attachments with the hose is essential in picking up all pet hair. The hose on the vacuum doesn't work well because they didn't think people would use it on wooden floors or hard surfaces. The hose doesn't pull out that much and snaps back pinching my hand. The attachments don't work well so I had to go out and buy different attachments. The wand was really short making it a back braking job to bend over and vacuum the floor. The suction is okay all though my old bag vacuum pulled more suction.
It doesn't seem like any other brands care about the consumer using the attachments. I would love to help design these things because they just don't know what we really need. Now I digress. Next time I buy a vacuum I will make sure I can see how it works in person.
