How the Lift-Off® detachable canister works

The Lift-Off® Multi Cyclonic Pet vacuum provides 2 machines in 1, as it combines the best aspects of canister and upright vacuums into one effective, easy-to-store machine. To detach the canister, just “Press, Grab & Go.” The large rectangular button on the top of the canister releases it from the vacuum’s frame when pressed. Once you press, raise the carry handle and take the canister (without its heavy frame and floor brush) with you wherever you would like to clean. You can attach any of the tools to the hose, like the Pet TurboBrush® Tool, and remove tracked-in dirt and pet hair from the places you can’t reach with your vacuum’s floor brush.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by Love my new Vac! I just got my new Lift -Off multi pet vacuum yesterday and could not wait to get it out of the box. I was ready to have problems putting it together from some of the reviews I read but that was not the case. Really didn't even have to look at the manuel. Two screws and everything else just clicks into place. The first thing I did was my hardwood floors and then took off the canister and did my carpeted stairs. What a pleasure. My old canister vacuum did not have a stair attachment, the cord was not long enough as my stair case is a U shape with two landings. I would have to do them in sections. First the top, plugged in upstairs and then carry everything down and re-plug in downstairs and work my way back up. Hated the stairs. Now with my new vacuum the cord is long enough that I can vacuum part of the hall on the second floor. My stairs will be vacuum much more now. Also love having all the tools on board. My last canister I had to change the hose from carpet to hard surface also had to go and get attachments when I needed them. If it's that much work your not always going to do the best job. The Crevice tool is long and narrow which is great for getting into the lint trap in the dryer. Also like the telescoping extension wand, make it whatever size you need. So looking forward to vacuum everything. The other nice feature is the dirt that I got up was the real fine stuff, that you see under your carpet when you are replacing it. The suction is great!     Rated 2 out of 5 by No Brush Power I just recently got the Multi-Cyclonic pet vacuum and have only used a handful of times. Today while I was vacuuming, the unit started making weird noises & then the brush stopped working. I unscrewed the bottom of the unit and cleaned off the brush, however, when I turn the brush power button back on there is NO POWER. I can't believe that this vacuum has stopped after using less than 5x total. August 16, 2014
    Rated 2 out of 5 by Great At First but Doesn't Last We purchased this vacuum in February 2011 when we moved. We loved it at first because it has the lift-off for stairs and the attachment did a great job of getting pet hair (we have two cats) off the stairs, curtains, and furniture. There are several problems with it: 1) it keeps clogging; 2) dust goes everywhere when you empty it; 3) it doesn't take very long to fill up the compartment - I have to empty it twice when vacuuming the stairs and the 3 upstairs bedrooms; 4) the brush keeps stopping and has to be cleaned; 5) the filter needs to be changed too often; 6) the Pet TurboBrush® completely stopped working after about a year but we were told it was an attachment so it wasn't covered under the warranty but we could purchase a replacement; 7) the whole vacuum cleaner just completely died today when I was half-way up the stairs. We have had this vacuum for three and a half years so it is JUST outside of the warranty period. The last vacuum we owned (a different brand upright with a a bag) lasted about ten years! It still worked when we replaced it - I just wanted a bagless since the bags were getting hard to find. Now I wish we hadn't thrown it away! I think I'm going to have to use my handvac to finish vacuuming my stairs! A vacuum cleaner that is designed for pet owners to pick up pet hair and pet dander shouldn't keep clogging when being used for its intended use. I will never buy a Bissell again. August 14, 2014

It keeps our carpet looking like when we moved in. The height adjustability is wonderful also! I thoroughly enjoy being able to just lift-off the motor and take it where I need to go. And the ingenious thought of the brush roll stopping when the vacuum is locked upright is just BRILLIANT! Thank you for making a wonderful vacuum for homes with pets. The only thing I do have a problem with is the brush. I initially thought the triangular dusting brush was a great idea, but I think I would appreciate a more traditional shape for dusting duties.     Rated 4 out of 5 by Attachments not so good I don't like the piece they put on the hose that is supposed to help you attach it to the vacuum. It gets in the way of my fingers, sometimes hurting them, when I'm vacuuming with attachments. I have not found a way to get it off without destroying the hose. The only bare floor attachment they offer has little wheels, which I think would tend to get stuff wrapped around them, and I want a brush on that attachment. The suction attachment has little combs on the bottom so is not good to use on Berber. It's hard to find attachments elsewhere that will fit. I eventually found a connector piece to use with my old attachments, but I had to wrap tape around it for a good fit, and it's just a pain not to be able to use attachments without it. It would be a big plus if the lift-off part of the vac housed attachments. Other than those things, I like the vacuum very much. It picks up great, has strong suction with no noticeable loss after four years. The end caps on the motorized brush don't ever clog. I like the premotor filter cause it's easy to clean, except the slot it fits in is not air tight. If I were in the market again, I would have to pay attention to what attachments are offered and avoid one with an unnecessary piece on the end of the hose. Of course I'd like auto cord rewind too.     Rated 2 out of 5 by Good cleaning. Horrible emptying! I bought my Bissell because I pets and love the cyclonic hose attachment. The vacuum has great suction and cleaning power. but emptying the vacuum is terrible! Almost every time, no matter how little I vacuum, I have to re-vacuum the area and clean off the vacuum itself because hair/fur and dust always fall out of the bagless dust cup. The floor, the vacuum and my hands are dirtier post emptying then before actually vacuuming. I try to take the vacuum outside to empty it because of the mess that it makes! July 22, 2014

I never knew how much they shed until using this machine..and the amount of dirt this vacuum sucks up is amazing!! The Turbo Eraser is great too, it took out ground-in spots with ease. Great product Bissell. I would highly recommend this vacuum to people I know that have pets. July 5, 2014

    When will my order arrive?
    After adding items to your shopping cart, you will able to choose from two shipping options: standard (5-7 business days) and expedited (3-5 business days). Next to each option is a delivery estimate date window, which will calculate dates including "business days" and determine when most shipments will arrive. 

     

    How are estimated delivery dates calculated?

    • Most orders placed before 2pm ET on a business day process and ship on the same day. Business days count forward from there.
    • Most orders placed after 2pm ET or on weekends/holidays will process and ship the following business day. Business days count forward from there.

     

    What are considered business days?
    Business days include Monday–Friday and exclude holidays. Holidays in 2014 include: May 26, July 4, September 1, November 27, November 28, December 25, and December 26.

     

    When will I receive my tracking number?
    Tracking numbers are sent to you in an email about 24-48 hours after your order ships. This delay allows the shipment to be processed by the shipment carrier’s website. Your order should still arrive within the original estimated window.

    The email will arrive with the subject, “Your BISSELL shipping confirmation”. You can also visit the View Your Order page anytime to find the latest status of your order, including its tracking number once it has shipped.

     

    What carrier will be used to ship my order?
    BISSELL uses multiple carriers to ship products. The carrier who ships your order is selected by our shipping department and depends on many factors including items purchased, delivery address, warehouse inventory levels, and more.

     

    Will my entire order arrive in one shipment?
    Multi-item orders may require shipments from multiple warehouse locations, so you may receive some items separately. Details for each shipment will be provided by email and will be available on the View Your Order page.

     

    What about orders outside of the continental US?
    Standard shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico, American Samoa and Virgin Islands will arrive within 15 business days.

    Return Policy

    BISSELL.com’s return policy is simple and convenient:

    • If you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, return it for a replacement or full refund within 30 days of the delivery date.*
    • You can arrange for at-home pick-up of your return
    • Pay just $4.95 in return shipping
    *For safety reasons, cleaning formula purchases cannot be returned or refunded.

    Return Instructions:

    1. Pack all items (including all accessories and manuals) securely and include the packaging list that was sent with the order.
    2. Attach the return address label on the outside of the package being returned. A $4.95 return shipping fee will be deducted from your bill.
    3. Take the package to an authorized ship center, or if you would like to schedule a pick-up call the FedEx Return Program at (888) 777-6040.

    Refund Information:

    Once we receive the merchandise, it will be inspected to make sure it meets quality standards. BISSELL Inc. reserves the right to deny refund for returned merchandise which appears to be excessively used or abused.

    The refund will be issued in either check or credit format based on the original purchase once the return has been processed at our facility. It can take up to 4 weeks for your refund to be processed. Note that the original shipping and handling costs will not be refunded.
