The handle of this 8 month old product snapped off at the on off switch as I was doing a normal vacuum. I would not recommend this to anyone for any reason.

Rated 2 out of 5 by thomasr1950 poor suction & battery life
I've had the unit 4 months now light use. The vacuum stops up with pet hair too easy, have to pull hair out with my hands. Now the battery life is horrible. I'm waiting to hear back from Bissell. Design is good, lightweight and easy to use, swivel head and handle going flat us nice.

The first time I used it was fine. Since then not so much. I have low-pile rugs and tile and hardwood and this vac doesn't do much good on any of them. It tends to make little piles but doesn't pick up the trash, just spits it back out, either from the back or just drops it from the front brush/roller. I have emptied it, cleaned the filter, cleaned the uptake hose and nothing improves the suction. I'm really disappointed in this product although I've always trusted Bissell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Swifteagle great duel use rechargable
This sweeper is super, the removable hand vac is so handy and the sweeper gets under things and is so easy to use, my regular Bissell house vac can't do that. So easy to clean out too.

I bought this product to quick clean tile floors in our home. Love that it's battery operated so my toddlers and preschooler can easily help vaccum the floors. This product lasted two and a half years of daily use (mostly by little ones) and after a whole lot of dropping and abuse it finally fell apart, quite literally.
This product does a great job on hard surfaces, but won't do much for your carpeted areas. It vaccums on hard surfaces just as well as my upright vacuum. A must for any mom with little one's!

Rated 2 out of 5 by HeraM Not good unless deep cleaned after every use
I first used it on my carpet, I have three cats and I thought this would be perfect for my 500 sqft apartment, however just one room tires the vacuum that by the time I move to the next room it not only starts dying on me, not the vacuum cup starts getting full, rather the portion of tube which connects the floor part to the stick gets filled up.
But then I compared it to the others and I was like hey maybe it is not that bad, after all it has a cordless dustbuster 2n1 ! However the strength of the tiny vacuum is even worse than the actual stick, I used it like they did on the videos, on floor, on minimal carpet pet hair but it did not seem to give me the same results.
Yeah it is super light weight and easy to store, but the strength of it is bogus. I cannot imagine deep cleaning the entire stick after every room, I would rather broom.
This is not a vacuum for an entire apartment even if it is 500 sqft, this is best for a room with one cat.
I am disappointed I wish i spent 10 more dollars to purchase the bagless corded vacuum.
This is not for "vacuuming" this seems like it is just for super quick pick up, I actually want my pet hair to be picked up from my carpet as I vacuum my entire apartment, not just tiny areas.

I really like this little machine, however I am unable to find a store that sells the replacement filter. Anyone know where I can get one without paying outrageous shipping fees?

Rated 4 out of 5 by Hate to Vacuuum Good for light work . Easy to manuver around furniture
I bough this for light vacuuming in a small apartment with a cat. Its light and easy to use and does a decent job of picking up light debris and litter. definitely not as powerful as a fullsize but for small jobs its great .
HOWEVER , when using the hand vac to clean cat hair off a light beige couch , the red rubber material that the nozzle is made of did leave marks on the couch. These did come out after some rubbing but I would be careful using it on furniture.
I suggest Bissell switches to a clear rubber nozzle.
