I thought I would be getting a cordless vacuum right after I got a flying car but, what do ya know, I was looking for a stick style vacuum and this one was at the top of GH's list, so I bought it. It arrived and required a little bit of assembly, but it had enough of a charge already that I gave it a go 'round the new little apartment. I have mostly hardwood floors, a bath with linoleum, and a carpeted bedroom. It is easy to maneuver, picked up everything I went over, including kitty litter without hurling it out the back like my old vac with a rotating brush did and it went over floor rugs without choking on them. Yay Bissell! I am finally going to think of vacuuming in a good way, rather than as the last chore on earth I would like to do. Also, the charging stand can be mounted to a wall. The only closet I have with an electrical outlet is the laundry area, so up it went with three screws, in drywall anchors.

I am extremely dissapointed in this purchase. I purchased it at a large chain store and kept the receipt for a month just in case it didn't work. It worked nicely for only a month. Unfortunately for us it turned into a very expensive dust buster after a month. The brushes would clog with a very small amount of hair and refuse to turn rendering it useless. We would remove the bottom and clean out the hair after EVERY room. We only have two people living in our house so there wasn't that much human hair and we have no pets. It eventually wouldn't even work with cleaning the the brushes. I don't know if we got a lemon or what but we are forced to purchase another one now and it won't be a Bissell.

Our entire house has hardwood flooring; gorgeous, but a monster to keep clean. With three little dogs, a bird and quite a bit of foot traffic, keeping my floors and stairs vacuumed and cleaned is an ongoing chore. A full-sized vacuum is very difficult for me to use on a daily basis due to arthritic hips and the swivel motion used when vacuuming.
We've tried that little round, robotic vacuum - worked quite well but was constantly getting stuck or lost or losing its little robotic mind. My husband and I thought a lightweight, cordless vac that actually worked would exist in in our perfect world, so I Googled "cordless vacuum" and up popped Bissell and a few competitor items.
After researching, reading all the Q and A, and comparing features, the Bissell Cyclonic Lift Off was our choice. We ordered direct from this website along with spare filters and five days later we were charging it.
We've now been using it daily for a week and I think it's one of the best purchases we've made. First, it's lightweight and so maneuverable that I have no problems whatsoever using it myself on a daily basis.
And, the liftoff hand vac - WOW. I use it with the adaptable brushes to dust, clean baseboards and air ducts, in between couch cushions, window screens, lampshades, etc.
Pickup is incredible whether using the stick vac or the handheld and cleaning the cup and filters is easy and no big deal. I read a trick about using a single sheet of toilet paper on the foam filter. Finish vacuuming, empty cup, peel off TP and replace - you're good to go.
Bissell deserves 6 out of 5 stars on this one. I'm a very, very, satisfied customer who now has very clean floors.

I have used other similar cordless vacs in the past...I am very pleased with this one. It picks up more dirt and dust than I even knew was there! Battery life is much better so far than other brands I have used. I also love that it will stand on its own while I move bar stools and other items out of the way. It also works well on all surfaces. Even though I bought it for my kitchen and dining area wood floors, I found myself carrying it upstairs to my children's bedrooms to vacuum the carpet. It is light and easy to use. As with any vacuum this size, it is good to have extra filters on hand and be sure to empty it after each use. I love it!

I like the cordless feature, it has decent suction and brush roll is a plus, but this is where the praise ends.....I have had this for almost 4 or 5 months now and i m getting tired of pushing around cheerios on my tile floors....always i have to bend down and pick it up. The little snout on the hand vac is an odd shape that unless you actually put it over whatever needs to be picked up it will miss that small bit of cereal or anything. Honestly i did not have so many problems with my 3 in 1 bissell....not so much of an upgrade !

This product was given as a Christmas present. It worked well for 3 months than all of a sudden it stopped working and then red and green flashing lights came on and it won't start! I have cleaned all parts (taken it apart and fully cleaned everything) and charged fully (green light comes on until I go to turn it on). Then red and green flash again.

I got this vaccum a couple of weeks ago. The indicator light turned orange so I put the vaccum in the charger it turned green after a few hours and I took the vaccum out and the light is blinking and will not turn on. What is going on here? It seems to be completely broken after one use. I am very upset. Any feedback would help

Rated 3 out of 5 by DallasMom Adequate stick vac
We have had this stick vac for 6 months and primarily use it in our kitchen and laundry room on hard wood floors. It does an adequate job of cleaning. Had a different brand stick vac prior and it definitely had much better suction. It would pick up whole cheerios and this one will not consistently at all. Disappointing since we have three little kids and end up with quite a bit under the table. It is fairly easy to push and my older kids can use it after dinner to help clean up. It is fine but I would recommend to others to give others a try as well. If it needed to be replaced I would probably try a different one in the hopes for more suction.
