Rated 5 out of 5 by Sebastian's Mom Very handy for mid week cleaning!
Have only had this for a couple of weeks. I hated lugging our large vacuum out of the cleaning closet and down the halls when I just wanted to clean up the kitchen and mud room floors. We have a new puppy and though we brush him, he still sheds. This vac is great - I placed it in the laundry room which is right next to the areas I need to clean. Very easy to maneuver along the walls and corners. Works well on both carpets and tile, and cleaning the canister is easy. It is a little top heavy due to the canister and it flops from side to side but I am adjusting. The canister alone is great for cleaning the floor mats and seats in the car. Good Housekeeping tested and recommended this vac just a few months ago and I am glad I read their review!

Rated 4 out of 5 by CindyK48 Nice vacuum
This was reviewed in Good Housekeeping magazine a couple of months ago. I was interested in a lightweight vacuum I could keep upstairs. This one fit the bill! Although the suction isn't as strong as my Dyson, it does the job. Not used to a battery powered vacuum, but so far there's been no problems.
I would recommend for light jobs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MsGor1 Best handy powerful vacuum!
Love this, has a lot of power for a little vacuum. Works well on our tile floors and love that you can detach the hand vac which has the same powerful suction. The movement is also very flexible. My favorite household tool!

I bought this to do my tile floors....I have lots of them. I love it, it picks up really well, even around the baseboards and my throw rugs. I also like to use the attachment and do my couch and chairs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by I_dont_need_a_nickname I'm impressed!
I thought I would be getting a cordless vacuum right after I got a flying car but, what do ya know, I was looking for a stick style vacuum and this one was at the top of GH's list, so I bought it. It arrived and required a little bit of assembly, but it had enough of a charge already that I gave it a go 'round the new little apartment. I have mostly hardwood floors, a bath with linoleum, and a carpeted bedroom. It is easy to maneuver, picked up everything I went over, including kitty litter without hurling it out the back like my old vac with a rotating brush did and it went over floor rugs without choking on them. Yay Bissell! I am finally going to think of vacuuming in a good way, rather than as the last chore on earth I would like to do. Also, the charging stand can be mounted to a wall. The only closet I have with an electrical outlet is the laundry area, so up it went with three screws, in drywall anchors.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bets2282 Worthless within a month
I am extremely dissapointed in this purchase. I purchased it at a large chain store and kept the receipt for a month just in case it didn't work. It worked nicely for only a month. Unfortunately for us it turned into a very expensive dust buster after a month. The brushes would clog with a very small amount of hair and refuse to turn rendering it useless. We would remove the bottom and clean out the hair after EVERY room. We only have two people living in our house so there wasn't that much human hair and we have no pets. It eventually wouldn't even work with cleaning the the brushes. I don't know if we got a lemon or what but we are forced to purchase another one now and it won't be a Bissell.

Our entire house has hardwood flooring; gorgeous, but a monster to keep clean. With three little dogs, a bird and quite a bit of foot traffic, keeping my floors and stairs vacuumed and cleaned is an ongoing chore. A full-sized vacuum is very difficult for me to use on a daily basis due to arthritic hips and the swivel motion used when vacuuming.
We've tried that little round, robotic vacuum - worked quite well but was constantly getting stuck or lost or losing its little robotic mind. My husband and I thought a lightweight, cordless vac that actually worked would exist in in our perfect world, so I Googled "cordless vacuum" and up popped Bissell and a few competitor items.
After researching, reading all the Q and A, and comparing features, the Bissell Cyclonic Lift Off was our choice. We ordered direct from this website along with spare filters and five days later we were charging it.
We've now been using it daily for a week and I think it's one of the best purchases we've made. First, it's lightweight and so maneuverable that I have no problems whatsoever using it myself on a daily basis.
And, the liftoff hand vac - WOW. I use it with the adaptable brushes to dust, clean baseboards and air ducts, in between couch cushions, window screens, lampshades, etc.
Pickup is incredible whether using the stick vac or the handheld and cleaning the cup and filters is easy and no big deal. I read a trick about using a single sheet of toilet paper on the foam filter. Finish vacuuming, empty cup, peel off TP and replace - you're good to go.
Bissell deserves 6 out of 5 stars on this one. I'm a very, very, satisfied customer who now has very clean floors.
