I needed this type for pet hair, carpet vacuuming, and using the hose with attachments, so far it all works fine. I emptied the plastic tank, it seemed to be a simple and smooth operation. It picked up alot of dust from the carpet, more than I figured I had. The turbo brush works fine also.

I purchased my vacuum about a month ago. It was replacing a nearly 8 year old Bissell Cleanview Revolution Deluxe. With two cats and carpet, that poor old vacuum had a long, hard life. I knew I wanted a multi-cyclonic vac as a replacement. While I do have pets, I didn't see the need for the pet tools, as I haven't required them in 8 years.
This new vacuum is amazing! Very powerful, effective, not too many extra features. It is, however, a little heavy. I like that it has just enough on board tools to do the job and no extra features to break in the future. The only problem I have found is the brush attachment on the back falls off every time I vacuum. It's a minor annoyance.
I have not noticed the burning plastic smell nor have I had any problem with the roller brush. I did read the manual which explains the importance of choosing the correct carpet height setting.
I gave this item the highest rating because everything works beautifully and my carpet is super clean. The canister detaches easily and, with any weight inside the canister, opens and dumps flawlessly. I love my new vacuum and have no doubt it will give me at least 8 years of clean carpet.

This vacuum is great. Well, it's great when it works. for some rason the vacuum I own is about 5 months old, but it only works when it wants to. When it runs it's the best vacuum I've every owned but sometimes when you shut it off, it will not turn back on. tried these things. made sure there was no dirt in the holding area. made sure it was making it into the craddle all the way. Played with the suction hose button. Made sure it was not binding at the brushes. got me. would like to know why though, I want to use the vacuum.

It seems that I am in the minority on this vacuum. It cleans carpet ok not great. The attachments are useless. The hose has zero suction and won’t pick up even the lightest piece of paper on hard surfaces or any surface. We spent too much money on this and will not buy another. My over 30 year old Hoover worked better than this one. Sorry Bissell.

I bought this vacuum because I was tired of carrying my old one up each stair to clean them. The hose is long enough to reach all the way to the top of my stairs and I can leave the unit at the bottom. NO MORE hauling a heavy vacuum up and down. I love it! The adjustments for each carpet is great and the one I used to clean my wood floor is perfect. This is a great product. I'm a fan of Bissell products and this one certainly did not disappoint! I highly recommend this vacuum if you have pets too!

This is my first Bissell product. So far, I am very pleased. This vacuum really picks up the dirt from carpets. My Kenmore canister is in the shop and I needed to clean my house. After my research, I decided to go with the bagless Bissell. Three of the grandchildren were given permission by Papa to use Playdoh, and this machine cleaned up what I could not see. My only con is that the brush is VERY loud when operating.

I just want to say that we are so beyond pleased with the Bissell products. It started with the pro heat x2 that I am obsessed with and now this vaccum. It's a great one too, cleans and relatively quiet. Very easy to empty contents. Just overall another great product from them. I've been telling everyone how great their products are and how they have gained us as loyal customers!

I've only had the vacuum for 2 weeks, but it was easy to assemble and works well. It has very good suction and the rug brush does a great job. It isn't overly noisy. My one complaint is that the plastic piece where the extension wand sits was broken when I opened the box. I did contact customer service, but was not pleased when told to take it to a repair shop. I feel they should have replaced the vacuum since I just purchased it.

This is our second Healthy Home, Bissell replaced the first when the brush stopped working. This is excellent customer service. The replacement is improved with an auto reset on the motor and brush and the hand tool is much more secure in the handle of the vacum. This is a very efficent vacum at a excellent price with excellent customer service.

The Bissell Healthy Home Vacuum is a good vacuum. It picks up great. A couple problems were noticed; the crevice brush does not stay in place on the back. I purchased a snap on hook and attached it to the handle. A small attachment without a brush would be great for small areas on bare flooring that you can not get to with the vacuum and a retractable cord would finish this vacuum off and make it great! I wish Bissell would concentrate on making one great vac and include all the features needed instead of several that only do certain things.

YOU WOULD NOT HAVE BELIEVED THE DIRT IT PULLED OUT OF MY WHITE CARPET THAT LOOKED CLEAN. BISSELL IS A GREAT COMPANY, THEY STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS! I did a lot of research before buying a new vacuum, and found the reviews very helpful. I am 71 years old and have owned a number of vacuums over the years. The Healthy Home has the best suction I have ever seen. It is a little heavy, but it did a great job. I was amazed at how much dirt it pulled up from what was supposed to be clean carpet. The first time I used it, I had to empty the container twice, but the next time I finished before I had to empty it. I have allergies and am hoping to see an improvement in our air quality using the Healthy Home.

I spent a lot of time searching for a vacuum that seemed most suited to my needs. A couple of years ago we got a new rug and our central vacuuming system did not seem to be doing a good job of cleaning it. I was right! Wow, what a lot of dirt this Bissell got out of the carpet. I actually enjoy vacuuming now. Even our oldest rug is looking so much better. It is a little heavy to carry up and down stairs; but, with the carry handle it isn’t too bad. I feel it is worth it to be getting my carpets really clean.
It works well on hard floors to get the small particles. It does not get the dust brought in on shoes. But, I prefer to use a duster on them anyway. Other than that, it does everything Bissell says it will and more.
It was well worth the money.

Love this vacuum. I am a loyal Bissell consumer. We have only one dog...and he sheds a lot. I love the tools and how well this vacuum cleans.
The grey screen (looks like a basket) often gets a dust blanket around it that must be physically brushed off and takes a bit of work to get it totally clean.
Any recommendation on what i can do to fix?

I am the one in the home who does 98% of the vacuuming, so I can truly say that this is the best vacuum I've had in my 50+ yrs. And I'm the guy in the house! All of the 'healthy home' features are just that... for a healthier home. Whether it's the hepa filter, the no loss of suction, the wide 15" track, etc. I actually enjoy vacuuming. We have three large dogs that love to shed. No problem!! The Turbo brush is great for getting fur, etc of off the furniture. If I MUST come up with a very minor issue, it would be that I wish that this vacuum came with a retractable cord. That's it. I don't plan on upgrading (if it's even possible) in the future.

I now enjoy vacuuming!! Never thought I would say that. I live in New Mexico. Out in the desert where there's lots of wind, dust, and sand. Until I purchased this vacuum I could never get the carpet in my sunroom really clean. I've found that with the attachments I can even vacuum the stone walls and get all the sand and dust off the walls. All of the rooms in my home, with the exception of the bedrooms, are tiled with wool area rugs. The bare floor setting on this vacuum is great yet I can easily go from the tile to area rugs. The various height settings allow me to customize my vacuum for either carpet in the bedrooms or the expensive wool area rugs I have elsewhere in the house. And considering the dust and sand here my area rugs have not looked this good since I purchased them. I also love the fact that when the vacuum is in the "upright" position the roller bar stops. Great when using the attachments, but also great when stopping for a quick second to move furniture or reposition the vacuum. In reviewing the Bissell website I noted that should I ever need replacement parts they will be easy to order. Keep up the good work, Bissell!

Received my healthy home vac for Mothers Day 2011, it seems the suction is not as good as it once was. I have emptied both the canister, foam catch and changed hepa filter. Unsure of the problem. Seems worse when I try to use the hose feature with crevice attachment. Help!

Let my Bissell sit for a couple of years due to it quit working and I didn't know why. I used the other vaccuums I had in the house but I really missed the suction power of my bissell, that was why I bought it in the first place (long haired cat and a never ending shedding dog) I never received an owner's manual so I came online to look under troubleshooting. Much to my dismay (for waiting so long to look into this) and delight (easy fix, the handle needed to be slid back tightly into place) and it worked fine. However, I noticed that unless the handle is almost fully reclined to the point that I'm bending over, the rollerbrush will not work only the suction. If I try to straighten up to stand upright and use it, the rollerbrush quits working. Is this the way it's supposed to work??

Love this machine but my belt recently broke..at least I think it's the belt. Isn't it marketed as a lifetime belt? Is this something I can replace/fix? Other than that, I would never buy any other vacuum other than this one...it's the absolute best! Thanks!

I was stunned at how much hair it pulled out of just the carpet in my living room. I think my old vac probably wasn't working well for a long time. I had to empty it after just doing my living room, and then again after I finished the rest of the house. My only dislike it how heavy it is, and I liked how long the cord was, but having had a canister previously, it doesn't cover as much territory and have to move the cord - just once - to do my entire house. I still miss my canister, but am getting used to the upright. It picks up so much better than my old one.

I have used bissell products for a few years now. We now have a dog and my 7 year old vacuum was not wanting to pick up the hair.. i would get done vacuuming and a few minutes later i would see more hair on the floor.. I decided to purchase this vacuum and the first time i used it I was amazed at how much more it picked up. The suction is a whole lot better than any other vacuum i have ever owned. I am really pleased with it and hope it lasts as long as my old one.

ok here is my review, and i m only writing it after i read other pplz reviews and figured that Bissell actually replies back. I agree wz everybody else, its very powerful, the way it collects dust is cool .. and i was tempted bcz i had allergy,but i think i m having trouble using it, as i m not used to the upright vacuums and this is the first one i ever used. I came online to watch the how to video, but it doesn't play on my computer (a mac). i m not sure if my vacuum has a problem or i m misusing it but when i turn it on i don't see it sucking unless i use the attached hose, but if i just use it, as i believe it should be like, upright position, it never sucks, it mainly brushes. but i still see the dirt in front of me. unless i suck it with the hose,then its gone! i don't believe i have to use both hands to vacuum the floor.Please Help !
one more negative thing about it though is that its too loud

I always read Consumer Reports before I buy. I bought the Miele cat and dog. It was so much quieter but it did not have the suction or pick up as well as my old Bissell Healthy Home. I bought another Healthy Home and am so much happier. It does a great job on my low pile carpets picking up hair, dirt, and dust mites which I am allergic to. I ordered it online and it arrived within a few days in perfect order!!!

I am not one to typically write reviews but this thing is a monster & I LOVE it! The fact that you have so much suction that it creates the attachment brush to spin- an attachment no less- is awesome for furniture & Stairs. I do have allergies and I also have cats!! So i am constantly vaccuming...EVERYTHING! I will say it is pretty heavy and it makes doing the stairs a little tricky but i get a little leg work out while i hold the vacuum on the step w/ my leg while i'm vacuuming.. then switch off! Might as well- the cat hair will not collect by itself. Now only if it did litter boxes!
