Rated 1 out of 5 by Leslie Too much troubble to use!
We bought a new house in July 2014 that has heart of pine floors throughout. I thought the "hard floors" model would be perfect for us. The dirt collection system has never worked efficiently. I must use a Phillips Head screwdriver to take off the lid and then pull the dirt out of the smaller chamber with my fingers. Ugh!!!I Too much trouble! Filter is clean and no problem with level of suction until the smaller chamber gets full. Going pack to a Sears product that I have used for years.

Rated 3 out of 5 by drednm doesn't seem to work right
Terrible manual gives almost no information.... I get suction thru the tubes but nothing through the hardwood or carpet tool. No suction. With the hardwood tool, the brushes spin but there's no suction. I've checked the filters and emptied the bin. Suction in the tubes and nothing thru the end tool. Where does the suction go?

I found the cord too short and the fabric strip to prevent scratching came off after the first use. That said, I did get a replacement immediately.
It is good for the purpose that I bought it for which is a bare floor.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Kurp Good suction; bad cord length
This little vacuum has very good suction and is lightweight and easy to use; however the cord length is a joke, and the dust bin and filters are very difficult to clean. The cord needs to be unplugged and re-plugged at least two times for each room, and restraining from pulling out the cord past the yellow mark is totally infeasible. After the first use my cord was already pulled out past the red mark which renders it unable to retract now. Good performance but overall not well designed. I would not purchase this again, nor recommend it to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rickb54 One of the better vacuums
My spouse has purchased numerous vacuums only to complain they don't have suction.. that is until she found this one. It is very adequate. We have all tile floors, and this thing really vacuums them well. My home is 2800 SF, My only complaint is that the cord is too darn short!!! I have to use an extension cord to avoid plugging and unplugging it every time I use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by lcarlile Happy customer
So far I am very pleased with my new Deluxe Canister Vacuum. The ordering process was very easy and it was delivered in a timely manner, I have Pergo flooring throughout my condo and I also have a cat and 2 dogs so I really wanted somethingthat would take care of pet hairs and have good suction on my floors. The vacuum is nice and light so is easy to use. I also have back issues so this was a plus. My only negative would be that the cord is not long enough., but all in all, I'm a happy customer. Would recommend ti to anyone that is looking for a canister type vacuum.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Labrador Mom I love it!
I have six adult Labrador Retrievers in the house and have A LOT of dog hair to deal with. My 10 year old Dirt Devil canister vac burned up (literally) a few weeks ago and I purchased this little guy to replace it. I vacuum every day or every other and after a couple of weeks I'm very happy with this product. It has good suction, the dirt/hair receptacle size is what I expected, tools are very easily accessible, it's light in weight for the steps, and the cord length is just about what I had before. I hope it lasts another decade. I vacuum a large country kitchen, front hallway, bathroom, and stairs, and I'm sure my usage is much more demanding than most households. When the dogs are shedding like they are now I can empty the canister 2-3 times and that's every day. I give it two thumbs up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kelly I'm in LOVE with a vacuum - its a first for me
this vacuum is a steal at twice the price.
I am a vacuum companies worst nightmare. I have tile, wood laminate, hardwood, area rugs, 4 cats (3 with long hair), and 2 dogs.
I wanted a vacuum that could handle all those floor types, pick up the random pet food kibble, the endless pet hair, and cat litter - and did i mention i don't vacuum every day, more like every 4-5 days - so it has to pick up tons of debris. I have purchased and hated 7 vacuums so far until i got this one.
this vacuum does it all - sucks up everything in sight and doesn't scratch any of the floors real wood or laminate wood.
Area rugs no problem, they are low pile, if you have shag i don't think this is for you.
Pet hair on furniture no problem sucks it right off.
Baseboards and edges - no problem and you don't need to change tools.
I think the cord is certainly long enough - my living room is 36 feet by 16 feet and i have to plug in twice - i think thats expected - i wouldn't want a cord that was 36 feet long - where would you store a cord that long.
