Stop ear licking - does anybody know how to stop a dog from licking another dog's ears?

I have a lab mix who absolutely LOVES to lick (actually, it's more sucking) my other dogs' ears. He will do it for hours if we let him, which we don't. He stops when we tell him to, but when we're not watching he goes right back to it. There's no medicine he's licking out, or anything like that, he just licks the inside of their ears. He's never tried with the cat, but both of the other dogs will lay down and let him do it. One of them even "coos" when he does.
Does anybody know why? And how do we break him of the habit? Or do we even need to? I've had dogs all my life and never had one do this before. It kinda creeps me out, just a little.

Do NOT put anything in the other dogs' ears to get the dog to stop licking them.. that is very dangerous and could cause an infection.
I wouldn't worry about the habit.. It's not really harming either one of them and it's kind of cute anyway.

My shih tzu does this to my shepherd mix dog. I don't know why they do it though. Maybe some type of anxiety thing?? I have no idea. The vet told me to be careful because it can contribute to ear infections.

Ive never heard of that, the only thing i can think of is putting something that taste gross and isnt harmful in the dogs (receiver) ear. My mom used to bite her nails when she was young and my great aunt gave her a nail polish that had a horrible taste to make her stop. Hope that helps
