What is the best way you get your cat hair off your furniture?

I have two cats, one is a Maine Coon, with long hair. It clings to everything. I have a special attachment to my Bissell vacuum for pet hair, but even that gets clogged up quickly and I have to tear it apart to get all the cat hair off. Has anyone else found something that really works for them?

Well, I use Tabby's brush it get the fur off better than anything else I have used. Her cat climbing where she likes to sun bathe is always as alot of her fur on it so I use her brush.

What I normally do is get some duct tape, tear off a big piece and wrap it on itself to make a O. (sticky side out) and put my hand in the middle and just "roll" the tape across my clothes or furniture to get it off. (long haired cats). That and I shave mine in the summer

I use a Bissell pet hair eraser. Nothing works as well not even a sweeper.

I have a maine coon also, and a short hair black and white tuxedo cat.  The MC is a shedder!  I found that the rubber glove thing works very well and I also have one of those pet brushes that has brush bristles on one side and wire bristles on the other.  Both sides work well. 

I have a bissell pet hair hand held corded vacc and I can't quite get the hang of using the rubber nubbed attachment.  Most of Teddy's long hair gets hung up on the attachment and has to be hand picked to release it.  I find the hard plastic attachment works better.  I wish I had been able to find the corded handheld with the long attachment locally.

Anyone know if I can buy just the attachment for the vacc I have?

I would use my Bissell Pet Hair Eraser.  It has special attachments for pet hair that have "fingers" to grab it.  We have a long haired Birman and our Pet Hair Eraser has no problem getting the hair off anything.  If you don't have a Pet Hair Eraser or don't want to buy one Bissell sells a pet attachment pack with the same tools that the Pet Hair Eraser has.

I actually use sticky pet rollers, I find this to be the easiest to just roll and go.

This sounds weird but on our sturdier fabric on some of our furniture that collects a lot of hair (cat and dog) I use a dog brush.  We have this fine metal bristle dog brush that we use to get stickers out of our dogs hair and one day I thought to use it on the furniture. It is the only thing that gets it out.  We tried those rubber brushes that say the static charge collects the hair but they didn't work.  So far, this metal fine bristle dog brush does the trick!
