I used to think so but lately he has been more accident prone, the lighter the carpet the more frequent the accidents

Yes, but the old one used to leak sometimes when she napped. The older she got, the more frequent and longer the naps became, soooo the worse the leaking. Who could (and would) live in a house with pets that weren't trained? Oh, maybe I really don't want to know that answer.

My baby has never went in the house: he has a thing that he does with his chain when he wants to go out:

Thank goodness, both of my dauschands are  "potty trained". The oldest,  Shorty  has (on occassion) held it for about 10 hours. He was certainly doing the "pee-pee" dance when I finally made it homefromwork that evening.

He is unless we leave him out of his crate and leave the house...then he gets anxiety and goes.  It's very frustrating.
