In my house i do clean up check point every month
we get most of the clothes and toys ready to be donated to thrift store by the church.
Stuff broken goes straight to garbage can.

By the title of this posting, I thought you would be looking for time to do the cleanup. I find that once a year is often enough for me and my partmet but each person needs to determine what works for them depending on how many people are living in the home.
