How should I clean my microfiber furniture?

I have a furniture set covered in microfiber. I was told I could simply wipe it clean with water. However, with 3 young boys and a dog, I prefer to deep clean because water doesn't seem to clean good enough. Not sure if this is ok and which detergent I should use in the deep cleaner.

We use a steam cleaner on ours. We use the pet stain and odor remover, although we don't have a pet. Just 3 boys and a girl! lol
