Best Method for cleaning white linoleum

We rent a house and it has old stained white linoleum in the kitchen. I HATE it! It is so hard to clean and gets filthy right after I clean it. We don't wear shoes in our house but I have 2 toddlers who manage to track dirt in and spill everything on my floor. The best method I have found is to scrub the entire floor with a scrub brush and use a magic eraser on the tough spots. Then coat the floor in wax to try to keep it clean for as long as possible. This takes me an insane amount of time to complete. Does anyone have a better solution???

Maybe try to strip the floor and when you wash it use ammonia.
