LAUNDRY TAKES THE LIFE RIGHT OUT OF ME!!!

I can't stand doing laundry!  It is not the part of putting the clothes in the washer and then switching them over to the dryer.  It is the sorting before hand.  It is the checking the pockets beforehand; it is the putting the big pile on the couch and deciding which ones to fold first; heck it is trying to figure out what goes where (those who have multiple similarly aged children know what I'm talking about; it is putting them on hangers....and worst of all it is putting them in the drawers.

I told everyone in the house that what ever they leave in their pockets became mine if it was there when I did the laundry and that solved that issue really quickly.  As for sorting, I have a sorting station that I use all week long.  At a certain age, my children learned to do their own laundry so I don't have to figure out what belongs to whom.  That also eliminates getting all of their things into their closets, drawers etc.  If you feel you are the one who is supposed to do the laundry, then fold it all and have each person take their laundry and put it away when they get home from school, etc.

I don't mind laundry on a normal day, but for some reason I HATE doing it when my husband is home! I guess because I know he could be helping me, or doing something else around the house, but he isn't! lol

As a family of 6, 7 in a few more days, laundry has to be a daily thing, or I get way too behind!!

I don't mind laundry.  We don't check pockets so if something is in one it gets washed.  Sorting is easy.  I sort, wash, dry and my mom folds the clothes.  I will not fold.

I actually love laundry, especially on a day that I know I'll have the time to do it. I also love how my home smells after several loads have been cleaned. It's the most relaxing thing to do for me. It's just so calming that I tend to fall asleep after the 2nd or third toasty load is removed from the dryer.

Everyone must participate in the "laundry" Chore!  It makes life so much easier and when the kids don't get their favorite clothing items returned to them in the clean laundry it makes them think twice about it for next laundry day!

I used to hate it. But then my kids got older, and now at 8 and 9, they have been taught to sort and put away their own clothes. Gives me a little more time in the day for other things, and when they get older they'll hopefully do it on their own. I get tired of doing everything, so I'm teaching everyone in the house to do for themselves.
