I agree.  You need to just try to do a little bit everyday.  We work and kids, your not left with much time, let alone energy.

The best cleaning tip I have for people who do not have the ability to run a normal daily routine is to remember that doing a little whenever you can is good enough. You do not have to clean the whole house or even the whole room or even all the dishes. Just doing some of it makes it so much easier when you do have time to catch up on the rest.

My advice would be to clean a little each time you have some spare minutes. Dust here and there, pick up and put away a few things, sweep, vacuum, or do dishes. You can start a load of laundry before dinner and then it's done by the time you are. Just slipping a little chore in here and there will help keep things manageable and not overwhelming.

Plan your work and then work your plan!  Don't overwhelm yourself (easy to do!).  Focus on one room each day.  You'll feel a sense of accomplishment, won't wear yourself out and have a little time each day to set aside and enjoy life! Try taking a walk, listening to your favorite music, reading a bit...something you know will put a smile on your face!!

Big yep on hiring a cleaning woman (or man if you can find one!). But if you can't do that, the best tip is to realize you really cannot do it all. No matter what Gloria Steinem would have you believe - working women just can't do it all. So, realize something has to give. I almost drove myself nuts trying to have a model quality home and a 60 hour a week job, until I heard Dr. Phil say it's not only ok to let some things go, it's essential to your mental health...

I must have the kitchen in order! After that, a laundry basket is very useful, I do a quick pick up all around and stash the basket until I can put everything away...this may be considered 'cheating' but it works and my clutter is under control for  a bit.

While I do not work, my family is my job.  I find that if I do not clean a little bit everyday then it becomes very overwhelming at the end of the week after all of my kids have come through like little tornadoes leaving a trail of destruction.  I have a posted daily chore chart of what everyone is responsible for and at the end of the day if it is done, then the next night I make a special dessert (making sure not to have any left overs) to keep the ball rolling on the incentive for everyone to do their part around the house.    :)

i am an students and my advise would be best time to clean up is on Fridays as soon as u come from school try to clean your room first then the rest of your apartment that would save you time. Finish all the cleaning on Friday so on Saturday you could finish all your home work and Sundays you could have it all for your self.
