Best cleaner ever...
Posted on 3/20/10 at 10:28 AM By Shannon Johnson | 12 Replies
I have found the best cleaner ever and use it all the time. Found it right in my kitchen too. Baking soda! I never knew it could be used for soooo many different things. I washed my walls with a runny paste of baking soda and water, took off all the dirt and scuff marks. My landlord thought I had repainted. But my fave thing was cleaning the nasty, dirty, greasy stove fan cover. It looks brand new and didnt take much work at all. It just melted away.
Anyone else know of any natural cleaning tips? My son and I have asthma and some chemicals irritate it so Im looking for something different and healthier.

You're right! I too used it to clean the hood over my stove. Worked like magic! I also use it to clean the soap scum on the tub. Quick and easy! On a side note, I use baking soda as a face scrub/exfoliator. It's gentle and mild on my sensitive skin. Works well without all the chemicals in other facial scrubs.

Wow I need to try that. I wonder if that will work on our walls. Previous owners used to smoke in the house and the walls are stained yellow! Yuck!
