Keeping a clean house is very important, but not always possible.  If your life is a mess, chances are your house is also a mess (unless you have a housekeeper or if a very neat person lives in your house).

I dont think so, it just means you dont have time to clean or that you just dont feel like it. You can have a clean house and your personal life could be completely messed up...

I want Jaime Esser to come visit me!! I used to have a spotless house - so clean people actually asked me where the "real" bathroom was! But as my work weeks got longer, the energy I was willing to put into cleaning got smaller. Then I heard Dr Phil say it's ok not to have perfection, that we have to decide what's important and be willing to let some things go. Right then and there I knew it was ok to not win the Good Housekeeping award. But Suze Orman says she can tell the state of a person's "business" just by looking at their house. Hmmmm? Guess I won't have her over anytime soon...

Absolutely.  I cannot really relax until I know everything is done and the way it should be.  Once I get all the cleaning, laudry, etc. done,  I can focus on what I want to do or any special projects I have in mind

Completely agree with this. We do have to be pro-active and self disciplined in order to enjoy a clean house. Just the other day I had been frustrated that my husbands dresser is always in a state of disaster so I dusted mine and left him a cloth along with some had gotten my point across without any kind of bad feelings or words! (Should have thought of that years ago!)

I am calm when the house is clean and orderly.
